Six years ago today, I first touched Mexican soil after being deported. These pictures are a little photo dump of those first couple of weeks out in Mexicali and Rosarito, including a funny one I thought I’d share. Most of them are blurry (guess I wasn’t much of a photographer back then 😅), but they still capture those first days of a whole new chapter in my life.
And yes… you’ll also notice my love for chips that’s been my weakness for years. I’m trying to stay away from them these days, but hey, that’s just life 🤣.
Most importantly, I want to take this moment to thank God. After six years in Mexico, I can say that three and a half years ago He graciously saved me—not because of anything I did, but by His amazing grace. Through the work of the Lord Jesus Christ on my behalf, He gave me a new hope and a new purpose.
I thank God that Jesus has given me a reason to live differently, and I pray that my life can glorify Him in everything I do. ✝️
