Letter from the Director

Dear readers,
Christmas is upon us and we've almost reached the end of a year that has been quite good to the tourism sector of Peñasco. Special events and vacation dates in the port have attracted more than two million visitors to the city, which reflects the trust of our neighbors, both nationally and from abroad, in coming to enjoy our beaches, lodging, dining, and all around fun along with our Rocky Point hospitality. This is a result of tremendous efforts on behalf of business and governmental sectors, and society, who each have contributed their grain of sand in making this happen. We saw this during the recent Rocky Point Rally, now in its 16th year, which took place right after the US Presidential elections though with no impact on the number of US bikers. To the contrary, numbers increased significantly this year! Oscar Palacio Soto, Founder and organizer of the yearly Rocky Point Rally, has already confirmed dates for 2017 (Nov. 9 – 12, 2017), which speaks to this year's success! We'd like to congratulate all involved!
As we wind out the year, we invite everyone to reflect so this Christmas we may gather as family, near our loved ones, and above all seek internal peace that will make us better people. For those of Christian faith, origin of the Christmas festivities and traditions, may they embrace its spiritual significance, and may all share a moment of gratitude with the Creator.
It has been a very special year for me! I'd like to share with all of you that have followed our pages for the past 16 years, my first granddaughter, María Andreá, came into our lives on October 16th! She is a marvelous being that has already filled our lives with love and thank God is healthy and full of grace. For this, and much more, I am enormously grateful to God as we end another year.
Thank you for continuing to let us be in contact with you, dear readers. Thank you to those who collaborated with me for your dedicated support over the years, and to those who continue to sail along in this boat called “JoinUs”, and to my dear clients, whose support and trust moves us forward. On behalf of the JoinUs staff I wish each of you a message of peace and love, may you have a warm and very Merry Christmas with your loved ones, and a prosperous New Year 2017! I hope the year that is ending has fulfilled all expectations you may have had as it began.
My eternal affection and gratitude for being my dear readers, and may God grant us many more years together.
