21 Years Ago Meeting My Best Friend vs. Now...
Can't believe we only have 9 MORE COUNTRIES until we visit every country in the world. (Country 189 is Bhutan - videos coming soon!)
We feel so grateful for these experiences, the time we've shared together, the things we've learned, and the people we've met along the way. Just pure gratitude for this journey and for all of you following along and being part of it. Thank you so much!

Share this with someone who can relate!! 😂 We definitely aren't young anymore but we're very grateful for the memories together, no matter how dumb and broke we might feel some days!
Last year when we were taking shared taxis through West Africa, stuffed like sardines, Hud handed me his headphones playing this song and said "well Emmy, two out of three ain't bad" 😜

You might know this about me by now but I loooove markets. 😍 I grew up selling fruit at farmers markets, so any chance I get to go to a market in another country, I drag Hud with me! It's one of the best and cheapest ways to get to try new foods and people watch! And Taiwan has countless night markets with so much yummy food! ❤️
👉 Fun fact about me (Emmy): My favorite drink while traveling is bubble tea (or boba tea). ⭐ And Taiwan is said to be the place where it started!! So I am in love and I think I have drank so many that I am now about 80% bubble tea! 😜
Taiwan is sooo beautiful! It's so green and has a beautiful skyline (see our last video for the view!), such kind people, so much to do, and of course delicious food.
⭐ Does anyone else have a favorite drink while traveling?
❤️ Thanks so much for everyone following our journey and sharing our videos.
😍 Next country we are visiting is Bhutan!! Where we are sleeping at a monastery and meeting 100 Buddhist monks!

Genuinely cannot believe that we have just 10 countries left to visit in the world. ❤️
When we took our first weekend trip in our van 12 years ago, I never thought we'd be here. Thank you so much for everyone's encouragement along our journey. We can't wait to share our final 10 countries. ❤️🥰

Country 188, Palau! 🥰 This is a little behind the scenes video of our not-so-noteworthy moments of what it's like to visit every country.
⭐(Most of our videos are topic based because those are what perform best on social media, but because of that we often don't post about the fun little, sometimes boring, moments of travel. 😋 It's a fun little way for us to remember these little moments of travel. (Maybe fellow travelers can relate?)
🔴A few Palau BTS highlights were:
👉 Eating at the same local pork BBQ stand 3x because it tasted that good! (and because most of the other food in Palau was pretty expensive. 😋)
👉 Being sad because the scenic flight over the islands was canceled because of rain, but the next day the pilot called us and said we could fly!
👉 Showing up past midnight and being driven to a random house. When we asked the driver, he told us that this random house was the hotel. Long story short, there was an overbooking and we stayed at the owners house. 😁
👉 Flying with sharks! One of the coolest dives was hooking ourselves to rocks and "flying" with the current while millions of fish and dozens of sharks swam by.
👉 Manta ray posing! The huge manta rays kept swimming right over us like they were posing for our videos.
👉 Deciding not to eat bats. Apparently "bat soup" is a thing here. We thought about it but...decided some things are worth not trying! 🤣
😍 Next country we are visiting is Bhutan! This is one of the countries that I knew the least about before traveling and am excited to visit!
❤️ Thanks so much for everyone following our journey and sharing our videos!

Waited 188 countries to post this 💫😊 We'd love for you to follow our journey to all 198! 🌍
I can't believe that I am saying this, but we only have 10 countries left until we visit every country in the world together!!! 🤯❤️
To be honest, when we announced that we were going to try to visit every country (that was when we were at country 113) Em and I honestly had no idea if it was even possible. We definitely didn't have all the funds, visas, or how much of an "adventure"😜 it would be.
❤️ We are beyond grateful to have these experiences. So thankful for everyone following our journey and all the encouragement. 🥰 And we hope to use this opportunity to share a different view of the world. How incredible this world and the people in it are! We will hopefully finish visiting every country in the world next year!
👉 A little update on what’s left. Next we’re headed back to Asia to finally visit Bhutan and China! So excited to see our final 7th wonder of the world!
Thank you to everyone who's been following along on this little journey! Final stretch here we come!! 🥳
🌍 If you're new here, this is a quick summary of who we are and why we're traveling to every country.
🔴 We started dating in high school
🔴 In college, we came up with the idea to live in an RV and visit the 50 states
🔴 After we got married, we spent 4 years saving and planning
🔴 Hud's dad suddenly passed away from a heart attack. Reminding us to not take any day for granted
🔴 Bought and renovated an old RV and took 2 years road tripping to every state.
🔴 Fell in love with international travel, moved to Mexico, and started working online.
🔴 After visiting 113 countries, we decided to try to visit every country in the world
🔴 Our social media following started to grow
❤️ Now we hope to continue to share our experiences as well as help you decide the best places in the world to visit!
💙 Thank you so much for following, sharing our vide
😭Send this to the person you want to explore this beautiful country with!
🥰 We've now visited almost every country in the world and this is one of the most beautiful countries in the Pacific. We are huge fans of Palau! If you are looking for a beautiful travel destination off the beaten path this might be it! Palau may not be the most popular country in the world, but it is inch for inch one of the most beautiful!
😍🐠 Not only are the islands beautiful from above, but from below as well. Palau has some of the best scuba diving in the Pacific Islands. We saw more than a dozen sharks and had huge manta rays swim right over our head! It's also one of the few places in the world where you can swim with millions of cute, pink jellyfish, that don't sting! (Just make sure to check if the jellyfish population is currently high as it tends to fluctuate over the years.)
❤️ On top of all this, the population of the entire country is less than 20,000!! People were so kind! English is widely spoken and there are countless activities!
If you're new here, we're on a mission to visit every country in the world, and we'd LOVE for you to follow along!
😭The ending! 😱😂 Send this to the person you want to explore these beautiful islands with.

Visiting the Least Populated Country on Earth
Thanks so much for following along and being part of our journey to visit every country in the world! ❤️🌍
🥳 Welcome to country #188, Palau - the 4th least populated country in the world! Here we dove with manta rays, sharks, and jellyfish. (Some of my favorite diving!) Took one of the most scenic flights in our 8 years of traveling! 😍 And ate a lot of amazing pork on a stick! 😜 Possibly my favorite country in the Pacific Islands to visit!
P.S. We got a little ahead of ourselves in this video - we still have 10 countries left, not 9 yet (but soon)!

😂 Instagram vs reality 😭😜 Not exactly the Instagram worth clip I was hoping for! 😂 All I wanted was a cute video with the little jellyfish. 😂 Hud says I look like a beaver scavenging for lumber. 😝 (Thanks Hud 😜)
Hud was very supportive and was cracking up when I showed him this clip. 😇 I guess this is just another reminder why I can't take cute travel photos! Fortunately I don't think anyone follows us for our "Instagram worth" photos.
🥰 It has been on my bucket list for a little while now to swim with millions of these pink little cute jellies in Palau. We knew that the jellyfish population had been down in recent years, but we heard that they had been making a comeback! Unfortunately, instead of millions grouped together, the most we saw in the same area was about 3-5! We did see maybe about a hundred total, but that was after swimming around the lake for an hour.
😇 In the 188 countries we've visited we've realized that "low expectations lead to great vacations." Maybe this quote doesn't rhyme but it is definitely true for every country we've ever visited. Thanks to @ethoventures for the inspiration of what it could have been like to see these beautiful jellyfish! ❤️
👇 Has this happened to anyone else? When you try to take a cute video/photo and it ends up making the blooper reel instead? I'd love to hear your "Instagram vs Reality" story below!

Comment how much would you have to be paid to swim with millions of jellyfish?! 💲👇 Poor Hud hates jellyfish. And what they didn't tell us is that in addition to the golden jellyfish, this lake is also filled with moon jellyfish. Which basically look like any normal clear jellyfish, but don't sting. But they still feel weird! And there's almost no way to avoid running into them.
😱 On top of that this lake apparently has crocodiles! And if you swim more than 30 feet down you could die from an anoxic layer (meaning no oxygen).
😇 Haha all this sounds like something out of a horror film, but in reality it's a beautiful lake in the middle of a gorgeous country! Unfortunately, we didn't get to swim with millions of jellyfish this visit. We knew their numbers were down, but had heard that the jellies were on the rise! However, not quite back up to the millions.
😭 Funny side note: after diving all day and all our walking in recent countries Hud's calf cramped up while trying to swim down to record one of the jellyfish. (Poor guy! He replayed the clip for me and we were cracking up at the face he made! See our last visit for a glimpse 😂)
🥰 The cutest thing is that every day the golden jellyfish migrate from the west to the east due to the shadows in the lake! So I guess they are like me and just like sunshine.
👍 If you want to swim with these cute little guys, 3 of the only places are: 1. Here in Palau. 2. Raja Ampat, Indonesia. 3. Siargao Island, Philippines.
👇 Comment how much would you have to be paid to swim with millions of jellyfish?! 💲👇

😜 Send this to someone else who can relate. I thought that the worst part of swimming in a lake full of jellyfish was going to be the jellyfish! But apparently my 30+ year old body had other ideas. 🤣
⭐ For context this is Jellyfish lake in the country of Palau. On a good year there are millions of golden jellyfish that live here. During our visit there weren't so many. But apparently crocodiles also live in the lake and if you dive below 30 feet you could die due to the anoxic layer of the lake! But for me, the worst thing I faced was a leg cramp. I guess that's what happens now that I'm 33 years old. 😜
Earlier in the week, we did 2 dives and got to see some huge manta rays and more than a dozen sharks. So I guess between the not drinking enough water, diving and swimming in jellyfish lake for about 45 minutes, my legs decided they had enough.
👇 Comment your favorite "I guess I'm getting older" moment below. 🤣
