Guau. Trump Tariff Terror. .by Vivian Marlene Dunbar..........Dec.3, 2024..
Just a few days ago US President elect Donald Trump had a phone chat with Mexico"s newly elected president Claudia Sheinbaum! The key topic was immigration and drugs crossing from Mexico into the US and while not specifically mentioned Trumps threat of imposing 25% tariffs on all goods shipped from Mexico to US if Mexico did not immediately stop migration to US border and also stop the flow of Fentanyl into the US. Both leaders said the phone chat went very nicely but vastly different versions of who said what to whom began to circulate the media. Right after the talk San Diego I Heart radio KOGO 600am commentators gleefully announced." Mexico Surrenders". "Mexico president Claudia Sheinbaum gives in to Trumps demands "then adding." Victory feels good doesn’t it.'!!! I actually heard this live on KOGO radio., a known " Conservative" San Diego ( MAGA) radio station. I was anxious to find out if Claudia Sheinbaum really did " surrender" or give in" to Trumps demands! It took 24 hours of checking news reports to find out what Mexico president Sheinbaum really did say in her chat with Trump: It turns out Trump just made up her side of the conversation then posted his Trump version on his " Truth Social" account and the vast network of Right Wing MAGA media like San Diego's KOGO picked up the story and ran with it. Finally, the next day CNN broadcast Claudia Shenbaums real statements. Most people are not aware just how vast what we will call Trump Media actually is and it goes way beyond Fox News. Trump media includes News Nation, One American News, Real American Voice, The Daily Caller he New York Post and of course the National Enquirer. Sinclair Broadcasting Americas largest broadcasting company owns over 175 stations nationwide and is friendly with Trump. In addition to all these news stations some we likely have overlooked we now have Elon Musk owner of X formerly Twitter controlling billions of posts every minute. Darkening the picture here is the unsettling fact that Facebook creator Mark Zuckerberg just paid Trump a visit to Mar a Lago this past week. Does this mean Zuck is pro- Trump? Many anti - Trump memes and cartoons are landing people in Mark Zs infamous Facebook Jail. It’s becoming harder and harder for news reporters and journalists to find the truth...like finding a needle in a haystack buried under piles of lies worse now than ever before with Tech Titans Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg jumping on the Trump Train! Baja News did manage to find out what Claudia Sheinberg really did say to Trump in reply to his Tariff Terror Threats Sheinberg stated" if US imposes a 25% tariff Mexico would also raise tariffs on US imports" Sheinbaum also made it very clear that it " has never been our plan to close the border with the US" adding that Mexico’s intention is " not to close borders, but to build bridges between governments and people. ...This we must agree is the kind of Holiday Message we wish to hear.

The Magic of Mexican Christmas by Laura LaBrie.

Guadalupe-Reyes is the season from December 12th to Jan 6th. It is almost a full month of celebration, observances, food, music, and fun. Let's take a look at all the yummy things to look forward to, beginning with the Virgin Guadelupe Day on December 12th, and culminating with 3 Kings Day on January 6. For sure, this season of celebration is important and, most of all...it brings friends and families together! During these important days, Mexican homes are adorned with colorful decorations, including poinsettias (Nochebuena flowers), nativity scenes (nacimientos), and of course Christmas lights and ornaments. And don't forget the piñatas! During the holiday season, especially at parties, piñatas are very popular. Traditionally shaped like a star, they are filled with candy and treats, and breaking the piñata is a fun event for both children and adults. Virginia Guadalupe Day, on December 12th, is a celebration that pays tribute to the cultural and spiritual legacy linked to Our Lady of Guadalupe, who is venerated in numerous Latin American cultures including Mexico. This day features events and activities highlighting the importance of the Virgin Mary in many people's lives. Processions and pilgrimages take place all over the country. I personally have seen long parades of bicycles, cars, and walkers carrying statues of the Virgin for miles down country roads. Las Posadas is a nine-day celebration from December 16 to December 24, representing Mary and Joseph's search for lodging in Bethlehem (The word "posada" means "inn" in Spanish!). Each night, families reenact this journey, visiting homes and singing carols, until they are welcomed into a home for festivities. Christmas Eve, known as Nochebuena, is the most important night of the holiday season. Families gather for a late-night feast, which may include dishes such as bacalao (salted cod...I have the recipe!), tamales, and ponche (a warm fruit punch). At midnight, many attend a Misa de Gallo, or Rooster's Mass. Navidad, Christmas Day, is typically a quieter day spent with family. Many people exchange gifts, and traditional foods are enjoyed. It is common to have a festive meal that includes turkey or other regional specialties. Celebrated on January 6, Día de los Reyes, or Three Kings Day, marks the arrival of the Three Wise Men. Children receive gifts, and families enjoy a special sweet bread called Rosca de Reyes, which is shaped like a crown and often contains small figurines hidden inside. The Christmas celebrations in Mexico blend indigenous traditions with Spanish influences, creating a unique and rich cultural experience that is celebrated with joy and community spirit. Overall, the Mexican Christmas holidays are a time of joy, family gatherings, and deep-rooted traditions that reflect the country's diverse cultural heritage.

Report Holiday Puppy Vendors...by Vivian Marlene Dunbar..
Report Holiday Puppy Vendors by Vivian Marlene Dunbar Holiday season has arrived and with it comes people selling everything we can imagine, including puppies. Most folks are aware there is a pet overpopulation crisis. Peta estimates 70 million homeless animals in the US and another 22 million in Mexico although we think that number may be much higher We in Baja have all seen the suffering and witnessed the desperation of shelters and rescuers trying to find decent homes for their homeless pets. We cannot all of us rescue or adopt but we can put a dent in people breeding dogs for money. Often especially in our area these are " backyard breeders" looking for an easy way to make a money. And we will see these (I like to call them Puppy Pimps!!) out selling little puppies in the US and Mexico at Christmas time. From Ensenada north to Rosarito Puppy Vendors appear along the road side. selling pups out of a truck or van with cages... It's a fair bet they have been bred in someone’s back yard many too young to be away from their mothers. In Ensenada, report to City of Ensenada 52-646-172-3000 In Rosarito Puppy Pimps can be reported to 52-661-614-9600./ Tijuana Animal Control will take confiscated puppies and care for and try to find them homes. but remember Tijuana includes the Border and the waiting cars are perfect targets for Puppy Pimps. TJ animal authorities warn puppies are often too young sick and vendors carry the poor things in plastic bags as they navigate the car line ! Selling puppies in the streets of Tijuana and the border car line is illegal.. Report Tijuana and Border Crossing Puppy Pimps to these . What’s App..52 -664-616-3339/52-664-186-9 498 and Tijuana Facebook City Hall has contact information. Or just tell a TJ cop they are always around the border. / What about the United States? Oh Yes Puppy Pimps are there to!! Walmart on Dennery Road in Chula Vista is a popular spot they tend to park up at the area near Wells Fargo but any big box store, like Costco on Broadway at Christmas attracts puppy vendors. Report to Chula Vista Animal Control Facility 619-691-5123. Baja News spoke with Chula Vista animal control officer Amber told us. that almost all San Diego county shelters are over capacity. and added that people are bringing dogs from Vaha to US southern California shelters Amber then added a horrifying fact people are taking their unwanted US pets and dumping them in the streets of Tijuana This may account for the growing number of TJ homeless dogs. as reported by Baja Dog Rescue manager Jose Mendez in our last issue If you spot a Puppy Pimp around San Diego county or anywhere north of the border you can Google which animal control center has jurisdiction in your particular area. So here is our opportunity to fight pet overpopulation be a Scrouge to the Puppy Pimps and an Angel to pets needing homes everywhere

*The Gold Coast of Baja Norte: A Sanctuary for Transformational Tourism and Plant Medicine Healing*. ~ by Kennedy Carr
As we step into 2024, Baja California is emerging as a global hub for transformational tourism, offering more than just its renowned beaches and lively nightlife. This region is becoming a sanctuary for individuals seeking personal growth and healing, marking a significant shift in the travel landscape. *A New Era of Travel* Modern travelers are increasingly looking for experiences that foster deep personal change rather than just picturesque moments for social media. In response, wellness centers in Baja Norte have developed innovative programs that blend traditional healing practices with contemporary medical insights. *A Fusion of Ancient Wisdom and Modern Science* Baja Norte is distinguished by its unique combination of ancient healing traditions and modern therapeutic techniques. Wellness centers provide a holistic approach to healing, featuring offerings such as shamanic ceremonies and psychedelic plant medicine retreats that recognize the interconnectedness of body, mind, and spirit. These centers are dedicated to delivering comprehensive care, with typical programs including: - Customized treatment plans crafted by medical professionals - Traditional shamanic healing ceremonies in sacred environments - Ancient plant medicine healings - Nutritional guidance and organic meal preparation - Movement therapy and yoga sessions - Meditation and mindfulness practices - Integration coaching for sustainable results *Protocols and Plant Medicines* Many treatment centers incorporate substances like ibogaine, ayahuasca, and 5-methoxy-N,N-dimethyltryptamine (5-meO-DMT) into their healing protocols. Ibogaine, derived from certain West Central African plants, is known for its ability to interrupt addiction by diminishing cravings for substances like opiates, stimulants and alcohol. The venom of the Bufo Alvarius toad, when inhaled, can induce profound hallucinogenic experiences lasting from several minutes to an hour, often leading participants to feel a deeper connection to the universe. This is also known as DMT. Ayahuasca, a traditional psychoactive South American brew, is recognized for its healing properties and is used in spiritual ceremonies by Indigenous cultures of South and Central America. *Legalities and Access* Due to the legal restrictions surrounding many plant medicines in the United States, individuals seeking these treatments often travel to Mexico. This journey can be both physically and emotionally challenging, driven by a desire for alternatives to conventional treatment methods. *A Personal Journey of Transformation* I recently witnessed the transformative effects of plant medicine firsthand. Accompanying a close friend to an ibogaine treatment center in Baja Norte for co***ne, Xanax and alcohol addiction, I observed her miraculous recovery as her cravings vanished and she exuded renewed energy. Motivated by her transformation, I participated in a private ayahuasca and buffo ceremony led by a female shaman. The experience was profound, likened to a decade of therapy condensed into a single night, leaving me with a deep sense of release and renewal. *The Future of Mental Health and Wellness* Baja Norte's wellness community is at the forefront of a new paradigm in mental health and wellness, merging traditional wisdom with modern medical practices. Whether individuals seek physical rejuvenation, emotional healing, or spiritual enlightenment, the wellness centers in Baja Norte provide a nurturing and holistic environment for transformation. *Conclusion* The Gold Coast of Baja Norte is evolving into more than just a travel destination; it is a transformative haven that redefines the journey of self-discovery. For those ready to embark on a path of profound change and personal growth, Baja Norte's wellness community stands ready to support every step of the way. For more information on wellness clinics, retreats, plant medicine ceremonies, temazcals, and specialized treatments in Baja Norte, please reach out via email at [email protected]. Your journey to healing and self-discovery awaits.

Earth Angels of our Border Lands. .by Vivian Marlene Dunbar...
It’s the Holiday season again and while most of our readers have outgrown their childhood belief in Santa Clause we here at Baja News would like to say that we are privileged to have met people who really just might be Earth Angels. These are people who have dedicated their lives to helping to alleviate the hardships and suffering of people and animals in need. tirelessly and fearlessly rising to and facing all the challenges such devotions would entail. We will begin with a group called Friends of Humane Services of Tijuana. Founded by Richard Massa former Dean of San Diego City College math department, Friends of Humane Services has faced the incredible challenges of improving the lives of animals and the communities they live in in the sprawling city of Tijuana BC Mexico. A nonprofit 501 ( c) 3 FSTJ programs include " Itchy Scratchy " clinics where they go deep into Tijuana’s poorest neighborhoods and set up tables and tents providing mange and tic treatments food, collars and information to attend their free frequent spay & neuter events. FHST offers support assistance to other rescuers in the city. They have been a leader in promoting and fighting for humane legislation. FHST is focused on the Tijuana area...volunteers are working on both sides of the border ..and FHST partners with Petsmart , Ralphs and many other business to help provide care and new homes for rehabilitated street dogs This organization is the Gold Standard and I encourage everyone who rescues or loves dogs to become aquinted with this amazing group. / contact friendsofhstj.org. These migrants are often groups of women and children hungry and tired They are detained in " open air camps"" with no shelter from heat or rain or cold These " camps usually have only one port a puttie. Baja Dog Rescue Report .
Interview with Volunteer- Director Jose Mendez.
Recently Baja News had an opportunity to touch base with Jose Mendez a volunteer and director at their shelter. Apparently, the rescue group is facing challenges. some old, some new, indicating a disturbing trend towards dog dumping and neglect.

From what we are seeing there are 100’s of dogs being thrown on the street for various reasons They don’t want the dog The dog is sick-don’t want to spend money on caring for the sick dog The cost of dog food has gone up substantially Walmart was 50-55 lb bag was like $23-24 /bag. Now its 33 pounds at $31 plus tax The dog is big- 40 pounds and eats a lot of food and we don’t want to spend money on its food. They have a litter of puppies and don’t want to vaccinate or take care of them The us is flooded with people getting rid of their dogs and most people are likely to get rid of their dog then adopting Because of all this, there 100’s of dogs being dumped on the street daily in Tijuana We are sent picture after pictures of puppies and dogs on the street. Getting donation use to be easy now it’s very difficult. So when people bring their dog(s) to us for medical help they want to spend maybe $20 for a parvo or distemper dog and we can’t afford to do that because of the donation issues. AS back ground its $5,000 to $7500 to get care for parvo dogs in San Diego
people don’t want to spend any money on taking care of their dogs, they wait till the dog is either dead or 1 hour from dying to bring the dog to us. we use to be able to ask people in us to help pay for other people's sick dog but that doesn’t work anymore getting donations money wise is very difficult now. getting dog adoption is very difficult. everyday people are offering $1,000. to take their dog into our sanctuary
The Baja Dog Rescue Shelter is located just north of Rosarito just off the Free Road on the way to Tijuana. Founded in 2010, run entirely by volunteers, Baja Dog Rescue has rescued and rehabilitated over 6,500 dogs to date. They maintain a full service vet clinic 24/7. equipped to treat canine cancer, distemper, parvo, heart failure, and more. They hold regular low cost spay & neuter clinics and coordinate with San Diego pet stores for adoptions Baja Dog Rescue also maintains a working relationship with the US Customs Dept. of Agriculture. ./ Baja News recommends Baja Dog Rescue as one of the top Baja based organizations worthy of support.. / To volunteer or donate Contact Baja Dog Rescue. / [email protected] / text 702-637-0895./ Baja Dog Rescue is a 501 (c) 3 100% No Kill Rescue

Trump Wins 2024 Election.
by Vivian Marlene Dunbar. Nov 12, 2024.
As of this writing, one week has passed since Donald J. Trump was re- elected to a second White House term making him the 47th president of the United States of America. The 78 year old former president came roaring in like a lion. waving his fists in the air and shouting out promises of a better economy, less war, and Mass Deportations. It was this promise that was seen by millions as a threat particularly among members of Americas immigrant community. The shock waves of Trumps win reverberated across America striking fear in the hearts of the millions of undocumented people , people who work in our factories, on our farms, in our meat processing plants and have done so for decades. Immigrants have built our nation they are an integral part of our nations fabric 2022 Statistics show undocumented people paid 97 billion in taxes while receiving no benefits while companies like Fedex, Duke Energy, Nike, Amazon and Tesla pay no Federal Income Taxes whatsoever. Trumps campaign crew are well aware that most Americans do not know this and were easily led to believe that immigrants are taking their jobs, overwhelming their communities, committing horrible crimes, and even" eating cats and dogs in Springfield'. "Trump knew that Mass Deportation threats would appeal to the millions of Americans who had been fed a daily diet of Migrant Crime & Open Border chaos messages featured on Americas very vast MAGA media network a network which includes stations right here in San Diego...Trump is wasting no time in organizing his cabinet whose first requirement is loyalty Top executive positions to manage Mass Deportations include former ICE director Tom Homan one of the three officials who signed the " Zero Tolerance" policy memo of former Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielson .that allowed for family separations. When a reporter recently asked Homan if Trumps new deportation laws would allow separating families. Homan answered." we can just deport the whole family",! No doubt, Tom Homan is a nasty guy. Trump also is assigning another nasty guy to the position of " Chief policy advisor.": Steven Miller , who has earned the dubious title of being the " architect" of anti- immigration policies under Trumps former White House administration .Steven Miller was a fan of the Muslim ban., promoted family separation as a handy deterrent to illegal immigration, suggests using nation guard to round up " aliens" and has expressed enthusiasm to create holding " camps" for undocumented people. Miller is on the Southern Poverty Law Center. Hate Watch list for his friendly ties with White Nationalists....So what does this mean for those undocumented folks or even our Latino- Mexican American community. a big concern in a state like California. Baja News asked this question to Estela De Los Rios a prominent San Diego human rights advocate Estela told the Baja News." the entire community is affected".." our greatest fear" she added. is that we will all go to concentration camps". Ms De Los Rios next comment reflected a mix of anger and despair a disturbingly frequent reaction to Trumps policies." the Constitution has become obsolete because having a dictator is against our freedom and democracy. Our forefather built a nation that no longer exists."Baja News also received a comment from Enrique Morones, founder of Border Angels and Gente Unida a very powerful voice for immigrants for decades. " We must unite and remember our ancestors Triumphed over Evil we shall overcome.

The American Friends Service Committee urges vulnerable community members to not allow despair to paralyze them. Instead, they should learn about their rights and build a protective community to prepare for the possibility of mass scale immigration raids," stated Pedro Rios, Director of AFSC's US-Mexico Border Program.
" This billboard located on Palm Avenue and Georgia Street in Imperial Beach is part of a month long ad campaign sponsored by the American Friends Service Committee. ( AFSC).Spokesmen for AFSC explain that the ads offer a positive image about the strength of immigrant communities and welcome all people to the United States.

The Magical World of Emma Elizabeth La Brie.. .by Laura LaBrie

Are you feeling disconnected, trying to manifest the life you want to but stuck? Do things just not seem to go your way no matter how hard you try? Perhaps it is not because you are not working hard enough. Perhaps it is some from your past life that is hindering this one. So, how do you get free? Hola! I’m Laura LaBrie, alchemist of all things Mayan and Magical. I bring you into deep connection with the modern, tangible, applicable to your modern life magic of the Maya. And I want to introduce my fabulous daughter to you. She lives in the UK now, after ten years living here in Mexico, and she is a powerful healer who can not only connect you with a past life you lived, but help you to discover what happened during that life that is still affecting this one. And, she can help you to move through it, heal, and transform this life. When I last visited her in England I had a powerful past life experience. I was a healer who was misunderstood and accused of practicing witchcraft because I understood the medicinal and energetic use of plants. In this past life which was set in York England, I was sentenced to death by my own husband who was the town judge and I was hung in the York county castle courtyard as a witch! Now here I am in Mexico studying magic and healing with plants and energy. Wow, it’s been hard to let go of a voice in my head telling me that what I am exploring is not ok. I am learning directly from Maya healers and shamans. Its powerful stuff! But every step of the way has been fraught with doubt and fear. And I never could break free from it until I understood why. It was a terrifying flashback of being hung as a witch in an English courtyard that illuminated the answer for me. I was not allowed to learn about healing. I was condemned for my knowledge of energy and of healing plants. I was sentenced for using my voice and sharing the sacred and powerful knowledge I had inherited from the women in my family line. And now here I am feel those same feelings as I explore energy, plants, and powerful nature based healing again! Wow, can you imagine what it felt like when I finally understood the connection? I could see where my intense fear came from and I could identify that I no longer need to walk in that fear. This revelation opened up my current path of learning, healing, and teaching about Maya magic! You too can get free! Contact Emma Elizabeth and talk with her. She is online at www.realmsofalchemy/timetravel.com and she would love to talk with you about exploring what might have happened in YOUR past life that is holding you back in THIS life today. In addition, if you are interested in magic, Emma Elizabeth also hosts The Academy of Magic, a bit like Hogwarts School of Magic but online, easily available and filled with real magic that you can use to improve your life today! To access more info about The Academy of Magic go here: www.realmsofalchemy.com Prices start at 99$ USD and will open doors for you into realms that are life changing! You can also find my lovely, compassionate, and powerful daughter through email at [email protected] Her work is transformational. Her experience is international and deep.
