There's a lot of dumb things you can do in Mexico. One of the most common is ignorantly accepting a ATM currency conversion fee when making a withdrawal from your foreign account. In this case, a person was charged 7% by Santander.

It's really easy when using your card from back home, accept the ATM fee, decline the currency conversion fee!

We personally find that Santander and Citibanamax offer the best exchange rates. That in conjunction with a Charles Schwab card, which refunds the ATM fees leaves more pesos in your pocket!

Last night, we came together at Jax Bar & Grill for an incredible fundraising event in support of Bucerias Tercera Edad a.c. aka Casa De La Paz, and wow—what a turnout!

A huge thank-you to Thai Bistro Bucerias for their amazing chili—it truly hit the spot and kept everyone energized throughout the evening.

We are beyond grateful to the Bucerias Pickleball Group , whose incredible donation of $75,000 MXN made a huge impact. Your generosity, along with the support of so many others, shows the power of community!

While we’re still tallying up the total donations, one thing is clear: we’re closer than ever to helping Jim and Marilyn fulfill their dream of caring for the elderly in need in Bucerias.

We’re near the finish line, but there’s still more to do. Let’s keep pushing forward together to make this dream a reality.

El Servicio Sismológico Nacional reportó un sismo de magnitud 6.1, con epicentro a 29 km al suroeste de Coalcomán, Michoacán, a las 02:32:50 horas (tiempo del Centro de México).

El movimiento telúrico tuvo una profundidad de 10 km, siendo perceptible en diversas regiones cercanas al epicentro.

Se recomienda mantener la calma, revisar posibles daños en estructuras y seguir las indicaciones de Protección Civil. Mantente informado a través de fuentes oficiales.
