🔵Jalisco | The Jalisco state government has announced a fare increase for urban transport, set to rise from 9.50 to 14 pesos (.53 to .78 USD) starting in April 2026, marking a 47.37% increase. Although users will effectively pay 11 pesos (.61 USD), the three-peso subsidy requires registering personal data, including a CURP, an official INE identification with a Jalisco address, recent proof of residence, an email address, and a phone number.

🔵Jocotepec | A new street in Potrerillos, designed for the benefit of communal landowners, caused discontent when it was built on the edge of a sports field and led to the felling of trees. 🌐 | Chapala Civil Protection Reports No Damage After 6.5 Magnitude Earthquake

Editorial Staff – The Chapala Civil Protection and Fire Department reported that the 6.5 magnitude earthquake, which occurred today with its epicenter in San Marcos, was not felt in the municipality of Chapala. Therefore, no damage or impact on the population or infrastructure has been reported.

According to the agency, the tremor was only felt slightly in some areas of the state of Jalisco, and no major incidents have been reported so far.

Municipal authorities stated that they are constantly monitoring the situation and are attentive to any official updates issued by the relevant agencies, with the goal of safeguarding public safety.

Civil Protection also urged the residents of Chapala to stay informed only through official media and channels, avoiding the spread of rumors or unverified information.
