Purpose

The position is responsible for ensuring JTI Leaf Malawi buying and pricing policies are implemented while delivering quality and NTRM free to***co in line with set standards.

Key Responsibilities

Assess and evaluate to***co quality to assign right buying price.
Manage daily buying processes ensuring final arbitration process is in line with to***co quality.
Assist with quality assessment of internal grades and blends to meet JTI grading standards.
Conduct and provide daily market research data.
Qualifications And Experience

Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.
3 year(s) of experience within the to***co industry.
Interpersonal and negotiation skills .
English and any local language.

POSITION: MONITORING & EVALUATION OFFICER

Location: Phalombe/Machinga

BACKGROUND
Inter Aide is an international organisation specialised in the implementation of programmes that promote access to development for the most vulnerable communities. Inter Aide has been working in Malawi since 1992 with interventions around Health, Water Point Maintenance and Agricultural development in the Central and Southern regions of Malawi.

Inter Aide, in collaboration with local partners and the Department of Animal Health and Livestock Department (DAHLD) from the Ministry of Agriculture, has developed over the last fifteen years an expertise on the implementation of community vaccinators networks allowing the vaccination of chickens against the Newcastle Disease to improve the nutrition and incomes of small-scale rural producers.

The current program operates in Lilongwe, Zomba, and Phalombe districts and benefits more than 85,000 families. A new phase of the program, funded by the French Development Agency, started in September 2023 and aims 1) To support the government of Malawi in improving the production of 1-2 vaccine and its quality control; 2) Extending the network of vaccinators to six additional districts; and 3) Supporting the Government of Malawi to improve the governance of the sector.

Inter Aide is looking to hire Field Facilitators (2 positions) and 1 M&E Officer for one-year with possibility of extension. They will be travelling 80/90% of their time.

About the Position

Job Title: Monitoring & Evaluation Officer based in Phalombe/Machinga

The position holder will work autonomously under the direct supervision of the National Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Officer. They will work closely with the regional team and project collaborators, including focal persons from the government, community vaccinators associations/sub-associations/clusters, and traditional authorities.
