[Dubai] Le gratte-ciel d'une entreprise énergétique qui se situe près du Burj Khalifa a été la proie des flammes.

L'immeuble de 35 étages appartenant au géant de l'énergie Emaar a pris feu lundi matin dans le centre de Dubaï. Il est situé tout près du plus haut gratte-ciel du monde.

Selon nos recoupements, l'incendie a été maitrisée. Cependant l'origine de ce sinistre reste pour le moment indéterminé.

Reuters also reported that the U.S. has received intelligence from Saudi Arabia warning of an attack from Iran. It said the U.S. is concerned about these alleged threats from Iran against Saudi Arabia.

“We are concerned about the threat picture, and we remain in constant contact through military and intelligence channels with the Saudis,” said a spokesperson from the U.S. National Security Council, according to Reuters. “We will not hesitate to act in the defense of our interests and partners in the region.”

Tensions have been on the rise between Tehran and Riyadh over the last few weeks. And Iran has warned Saudi Arabia against interfering in Iran’s internal affairs amid a wave of unrest that erupted after the death of Mahsa Amini, a young girl who fainted in police custody on September 13 and died three days later in hospital.

But Iran didn’t say it will attack Saudi Arabia.

The chief of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), General Hossein Salami has warned the United States and its regional allies against exacerbating the unrest in Iran.

Speaking on the sideline of a recent IRGC military exercise on the border with the South Caucasus region, General Salami said Saudi Arabia is playing media games with the Iranian youth. “We are warning them in this regard,” he said, according to state news agency IRNA.

“They are openly seeking to provoke our youth. We advise them to exert control over these media outlets. Otherwise, they will pay the price,” he said.

General Salami then directly addressed the Saudis and said, “Note that you have entered this field and know that you are vulnerable. You better be careful.”

In another speech delivered at the funeral ceremony for the victims of the Daesh-claimed attack in Shiraz, General Salami said that the Biden administration, together with its allies in the region, stand behind the unrest.
Addressing Iranian youth, the general said Biden isn’t directly ordering Iranian youth to take to the streets. Instead, he is using complex ways to instigate unrest in Iran, including through the media, the general added. Salami added the unrest in Iran was planned in American and Israeli think tanks.

Imran Khan, former Pakistan prime minister, was injured Thursday after shots were fired at his reception camp in the Gujranwala town, multiple local news channels reported.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Fawad Chaudhry, in an interview with Aaj TV after the incident, confirmed that the former PM had been shot in the leg. He added that three other leaders were also injured.

According to the media reports, Khan was was shot in the foot when was leading a protest march towards Islamabad but was out of danger.

Former Pakistan prime minister Imran Khan has been shot in the leg in what his supporters say was an assassination attempt.

A gunman reportedly opened fire while Mr Khan was giving a speech to supporters at a rally in Wazirabad.

Mr Khan was rushed away from the scene and his supporters said he had survived the assassination attempt.

The former cricketer - who has been pushing for new elections after being ousted from power in April - has been delivering fiery speeches at gatherings across the country.

He was six days into a march from Lahore to Islamabad in his drive to bring early elections to the country, pushing for radical change, when the shooting took place.

To cancel or not to cancel?

‘Do not go out and search for the fault of others’. [Sunan al-Dawood]

Cancel culture has become an unfortunate norm. Any and every crime is exposed, discussed and judgement passed in the court of social media, leading to the cancelling of the accused. Whilst there is benefit in warning others in a general sense of potential dangers in society, naming names often turns into a witch hunt and smear campaign. Serious crimes should be reported and dealt with by the authorities and we should avoid looking for the wrongdoings of others. Do you have all of the facts? Have you approached the person in question for clarification? Have you given them the benefit of the doubt? Have they been tried and found guilty in a fair trial? If you just latch on to the latest online lynching yet haven’t taken the steps to check or clarify the facts, you could become guilty of the sin of slander.

If you are going to cancel people online, then know that you are also obligated to avoid dissimulation in your offline life. What does this mean in practice? Remaining silent against the crimes or wrongdoings of someone who you gain benefit from, such as an employer. This is in itself a crime. It’s easy to see that you have an obligation to speak against wrongdoing in your personal, offline life, and have no obligation to do so online when it involves people you’ve never met or know personally, especially if their wrongdoing was done in private and out of the public space.

Increasing interest of women in ‘Pole Dancing’ in Saudi Arabia

In Saudi Arabia, the most important country of the Islamic world, which is considered conservative, where women have been given significant freedoms for the past few years, now the women there seem to be interested in ‘pole dance’, which is considered a vice even in secular countries.

‘Pole dance’ is a special type of dance that is inappropriately shown in the western world or in Hollywood movies, however the dance shown in the movies does not correspond to the real dance in some countries.

According to the news agency ‘Agence France Presse’ (AFP), a few years ago in Saudi Arabia, taking and giving yoga training was also considered a handicap and women who did this were stopped not only by their families but also by the authorities. Now, “pole dance” clubs have opened in other cities, including Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, where the performers are mostly foreign women, but young girls from Saudi Arabia have started coming there for training. The report quoted Mia AlYoussef, who runs a ‘pole dance club’ in Riyadh, as saying that young girls in Saudi Arabia are becoming more attracted to it.

Pour conquérir l’électorat musulman, le MSM s’est mis à la tâche. Ainsi, un « Special Desk » a vu le jour au Bâtiment du Trésor. Son objectif principal demeure le recrutement des musulmans de calibre pour représenter le parti soleil aux prochaines législatives. On se demande si ce n’est pas un article publié par 1Ummah le 2 juillet dernier qui serait le précurseur de cette judicieuse stratégie politique.

Si dans un premier temps le « Special Desk » cible la communauté dans son ensemble, on laisse entendre que les circonscriptions n°2 & n°3 sont d'un intérêt particulier dans le viseur du Sun Trust. Et pour cause! Selon nos informations, l’ambition du MSM serait de réaliser un score sans précédent dans ces deux circonscriptions de la capitale majoritairement musulmanes. À en croire certaines indications venant du « Special Desk », cet électorat s’est fait berné par les rouges et quelques mauves pendant des décennies et il est grand temps de s’exclure de cette cloison qu'est l’opposition.

Après le grand retour de Roubina Jadoo Jaunbocus au sein du Bureau Politique du MSM, des rumeurs couraient à l'effet qu’Osman Mahomed passerait de rouge à orange. Ce dernier a tout démenti sur sa page Facebook pour réitérer son allégeance à son leader inamovible, le Dr Navin Ramgoolam. « L’objectif demeure de gagner les prochaines élections, je suis Travailliste », aurait-il publié sur son réseau social de prédilection. Néanmoins, le MSM a pu convaincre le Constituency Clerk d’Osman Mahomed, Sheik Mukhtar Hossenbaccus, de changer de casaque. L'ancien lord-maire travailliste s’est entretenu avec Pravind Jugnauth et a décidé de s’adhérer au MSM.

Il nous revient également que le « Special Desk » agit en mode commando et un conseilleur du Bureau du Premier ministre en serait le responsable. Plusieurs ‘Top Guns’ de la communauté musulmane ont été contactés par le « Special Desk » et ont décliné l’offre. Une liste de certains travaillistes qui voudraient être candidats sous les couleurs du MSM en 2024 est sur la table des recruteurs du PMO, se chuchote-t-il.

D’après une autre source proche du pouvoir et du « Special Desk », la stratégie consisterait aussi à séduire des dirigeants des Associations Musulmanes.
