What an experience, what a journey the production of this movie has been. I've been blessed to be part of it from the 1st day of shooting till the last hours pushing ourselves to the max in post-prod to finish in time for the avant premiere.
I had never worked on/for a movie before and for my first one I get to be in charge of sound. From recording audio for each scene as boom operator & audio technician, to composing & producing the film score using only a laptop, a midi controller and replacement headphones.
Grateful for the trust and opportunity given to me by . Grateful to the cast & crew or the encouragement, support and hard work. Grateful to have been able to share this avant premiere experience with some family and friends.
Wished i could have invited all you. And i wish for you all to check it out. 🙏

Matt & I have been friends for just over decade. I still remember my friend Mathieu (another mat) came to me on a dancefloor at a party in Melbourne saying "I have someone I want you to meet" - there he was, very timid 😆. Matt was at the very beginning of his journey as a DJ/Producer then, and that was in 2011/2012. He learnt how to DJ VERY fast and immediately dedicated his life to music and the art of production. A decade later, Matt Dweller's has released with more than 30 labels throughout the world! 🌎
His remix of 'The Inner Groove' is personal and a great testament to his progress - he brilliantly uses one of the core melodies, loops it into the fundamental note, and from there creates his own chord progressions. This transforms the track into something happy, breezy and dreamy while staying somewhat faithful to the original (you can hear clearly that it's a remix).

The cat is out of the bag ! Super proud to be on the line up for La Isla Social Club's 2024 edition of La Isla 2068 along so many TALENTED and amazing artists. This festival has been one of my favorites throughout the years. It's a such a enriching time for the soul with the people, the vibe and the artistic experience. Did you know that sunscreen has many chemicals which, after washing off into the ocean, damage and potentially kill coral reefs? The purpose of this new music video clip of Anne Ga is to express in a most beautiful way how important the ocean is to us, as islanders and as Mauritians particularly. Filmed in reverse, the aim is to show that through responsible practices and living, we can reverse the damage. There are reef safe alternatives, accessible to all which can make the difference.
I am proud to say that I've helped out with the production (not music) of this video. Directed by Kelvin Murday, it was an honor to have been able to get a little window into the creative process, and the hard work put in by himself and his team at ORIT - truly inspiring. The song itself is fantastic - i've been listening to it for months now - love the arrangement, the progression - errthing just great! Simply beautiful music by Anne Ga & Kabann Records.

I don't want to sound like a whining little bitch but I kind of will : I hope that in 2024 and onwards, Mauritian event promoters will recognise local acts as HEADLINERS and will educate themselves on meritocracy. I am not putting us all in the same basket ( I myself am a promoter once in a while) and I know that many of us DO value our local heroes for their true value. I find it frustrating to see a few events feature an international act that by default becomes the headliner when in fact, many local supporting acts performing at the same event are better, have bigger followings, more experience, more talent. What is more infuriating is the Instagram DJ trend - no soundcloud, mixcloud, beatport, spotify, bandcamp following, but a few nice swimsuit pictures with headphones on the gram and BAM!! They become International headliners earning X times more than our local heroes who actually deserve to be paid more in many situations....
