Trogir, Croatia is beautiful this morning. It is one of Europe’s oldest walled cities built on an island (often noted as the ACTUAL oldest). Dates back to before 2nd Century BC and is full or rich heritage and more history than many can imagine. This small and charming village is a must see on any European travel list!

Visited Dachau while in Germany. It wasn’t the same as when we (jay and Elizabeth)went as younger adults but it was still educational for Ilsa. The Red Triangle on the monument indicates a Polish Catholic…this is especially telling since my (Elizabeth) family heritage is from there. The most telling part of the entire visit was the book of victims in which we found a Johann Belcik…a family name on my mother’s side. Most likely an ancestral cousin/uncle. Touching.

Hmm...Change of plans! This WAS our window of decent weather for our sail tomorrow morning. Not so much now. Looks like we will continue to hunker down in Dubrovnik.

Luckily the city is beautiful and Marina Frapa is very nice. We will wait it out and hopefully continue on our travels in the next few days!

If you can only do one thing in Germany…skip the castles, skip the museums, skip all the beer gardens and Munich (yes, I said that)…do this tour!

Salzbergwerk Salt Mine Tour in Berchtesgaden, Germany is 100% the best tour WE have ever been on in our lives.

Y’all. It is better than any Disney ride. There are costumes, a train, light shows, education, a boat ride (that honestly brought me to tears), and elevator shaft and beautiful gift shop at the end…

Seriously, you MUST come to this place. Also, the town is lovely. It was hiking festival while we were there and was full of people who were eager to climb the mountainsides.

More trip posts coming soon! We are in Germany now, and we learned that it is next to impossible to get data for your phone in Germany without a german passport and address. So we have been 'off grid' for the last 3 days. Photos coming soon.

First stop in Austria…they aren’t joking…they LOVE campers here!!! There are trailers on the highway, side roads, little towns, parking lots, everywhere!! This rest stop filled up with camper and and rvs throughout the night and by the morning it was covered in couples and families who had stopped over for a rest.

Elizabeth was in love with the green one to the right in the pic…who wouldn’t be!?!
