Our passion is Sailing and the Sea, we bought Royal Atenea with the intentions of start cruising around the world after spending all our lives working hard at sea. After we bought this beauty we found that it needed some love and care as it was abandoned by the previous owners so we are taking our time to bring her back to life. Eventually around the world trip will commence when the boat is fully upgraded for crossing the oceans. Our delivery from Gandia was a proof of what the vessel is capable of when we came across 65+ winds and 7 m seas. Now with your help in subscribing to our channel, this will help us achieve the upgrade and also in the future will be getting the opportunity to join us again on a new adventure.
''SY ROYAL ATENEA'' was built in Holland in 1973. Her original name was ''Antares''.She is a Jongert Trewes Design with 5mm Steel Hull and rigged as a Ketch with Aluminium Masts. Her LOA is 19.3m and she have a beam of 4.6m with a draft of 2.98m She weighs 33t and she can cruise at 7 kts with engine and 8-10 kts on sail depending on wind. She is fairly comfortable with 15 to 20 kts of wind. Fresh water capacity to last over 2 weeks and fuel range of 13 days steaming.
