Saipan Tribune

Saipan Tribune The Saipan Tribune is a community newspaper in the Northern Marianas, published from Mon. to Fri. in 2008.

The Saipan Tribune is a daily community newspaper in the Northern Marianas, published from Monday to Friday. The paper is circulated mainly within Saipan, Tinian and Rota in the CNMI and to off-island subscribers. The Saipan Tribune is also accessible to off-island readers through its Web site, www.saipantribune.com. The history of the Saipan Tribune is a history of innovation, of precedent-settin

g changes that our competitor has copied but never equaled. The newspaper started out as a black-and-white biweekly newspaper—just like its competitor—seeing print only every Tuesdays and Fridays. It was first circulated on Saipan in 1990 under Mark Pangelinan and Larry Hillbloom. In 1993, Saipan Tribune was bought under the name of Pacific Publication & Printing Inc. and was expanded to become the first to be published Mondays to Fridays. Soon after, the newspaper went full color on its front and back pages, including the inside front page and inside back page. On Sept. 21, 1999, the newspaper launched its website, www.saipantribune.com, a fully archived site that has become an invaluable tool for research, not only within the CNMI but around the world. In August 2002, Saipan Tribune became a daily, seeing print seven days a week. In November 2007, the newspaper returned to five-days-a-week printing, while its corporate name was changed to Saipan Tribune Inc. Saipan Tribune is located on the second floor of the JP Center along scenic Beach Road in Garapan, Saipan. Contact them at 1-670-235-6397 or 1-670-235-2440 or by email at [email protected].
