*UNDERSTANDING GOD*

PSALM 34:8 "O taste and see".

A lot of people have heard about God from other people while to other individuals, God remains unknown. To many others, God is a law giver & some think HIM as another name for goodness, beauty or truth.
These thoughts, ideas & concepts about God are without number but they who believe or accept them have one thing in common; they know not God in personal experience (John 4:22a). They admit the Creator's existence but do not communicate to themselves or conceive in their hearts that HE is knowable. An affectionate Personality dominates the Scriptures, walking among the trees of Eden's garden and breathing fragrance over every scene (Gen 3:8a, Psm 45:8).

The Bible is a self-evident truth you can know God with at least the same closeness as you know anyone or thing that comes within the realm of your experience.

The question is..."is God sweet, bitter or tasteless?
The same words used to the knowledge of God are used to express knowledge of physical things in the Scriptures above "O taste and see that the Lord is good - _Psm 34:8a"_

Beloved, all these simply means we can know HIM as verily as we know material things.

*HOW TO KNOW HIM*

1. That a saving work must first be done in your heart must not be taken for granted.
2. Desire the sincere milk of the Word, that you may grow. 1 Pet 2:2-3
3. Without love it is impossible to know God. 1Jn 4:7-9
4. To know HIM, you must be patient. Wait patiently for HIM because your master plan is in HIS hands. (Isa 28:16, Psm 40:1-2)
5. Learn to watch - Hab 2:1
6. Pray - Luke 5:16
7. Learn to please HIM by your faith in HIM - Heb 11:6
8. Diminish your love for material things.

*SUMMARY*
Never forget that as day and night endures and as the sky stands above the earth, the greatest reality is GOD.

*PRAYER*
Dear Lord, I desire knowing You more than material things and I admit that I have not known You as a result of my thoughts, actions and pursuit. Lord Jesus Christ, please forgive my sins and purify me with Your blood even as You keep me in You and You in me now and forever in Jesus mighty name.
