He knows that sin leads to death, but He couldn’t bear to see us suffer because of our mistakes. In response, He sent His only son Jesus to bear the weight of our sin by dying as a sacrifice on the cross. Through Jesus, we find forgiveness and life. No matter what happens in this world, He is still with us. 💯When we turn to Him, we find strength to overcome and we find rest when we feel burdened. We have hope because of Jesus. One Sunday morning, just as we were about to start our 10 a.m. service, a neighbor came up to us in the churchyard and shouted!
- You're making too much noise with your singing! Every Sunday morning at 10! It's all the same! You wake up my daughter who comes home from nightclubs around 4 a.m.! Because of your singing! I beg you, you've got to stop! ""
Faced with such an accusation, we didn't know what to say, and although we tried to reason with the lady, alas without success! Her anger was increasing in intensity! So we remained silent, having nothing to say in the face of such remarks.
Then along came Patrick, a brother in Christ, tapping the ground with his white cane. Patrick had gone blind a few years earlier, having worked unprotected treating freeway verges with hyper-powerful and very dangerous herbicides, and after 2 years, he was blind as a result!
Patrick arrives with his big smile and starts hugging everyone present, including our neighbor, who suddenly calms down. Becoming very calm and kind, she even apologized for her request.
Because her heart had been so touched by this brother's gesture, her anger subsided and she was overwhelmed by the love someone had shown her.
Afterwards, she often came to us for help, as her elderly husband was suffering from cancer and was in a poor state of health.
