Updated and upgraded recording studio «Poli Disc Records» opened its doors to musicians in 2011. A little earlier general director of the studio Valerii Galupa decided to bring «Poli Disc Records» to the international level in line with the latest professional progress in sound recording industry. Over 0.5 million euros has been invested in the modernization project. And today «Poli Disc Records»
- this is a hardware sound engineering, studio number 1 - 50 m, studio number 2 - 120 m, room arrangement - 25 m, rest room - 20 square meters. The goal of the studio is to give an opportunity to talented sound producers, arrangers, vocalists, instrumentalists and professional artists to work not only in Moldavian but and in international projects with world stars musicians. Today «Poli Disc Records» thanks to its rich story, invaluable experience and hard work got the right to became a dealer of the leading musical companies of the world such as: L’acoustics, Meyer Sound, RCF, Klarkteknik-Midasconsole, König & Meyer, Shure, Harman, Music Store. It allows the studio «Poli Disc Records» develop its ability to comply with the highest and most topical modern music world standards. Studio history began in 1988-1989, when Valerii Galupa has got a mission from leaderships of the Ministry of Culture of the MSSR, the Moldova State Philharmonic and the National Palace «Octombrie», to collect exit set of equipment for the development of live perfomances in republic squares and stadiums. In turn Valerii Galupa asked to allow him to open a branch of «Melodiya» - Russian (formely Soviet) major record company. He obtained the consent and for the next few years he was involved in the realization of this ambitious project. The result has surpassed all expectations, and test recordings, made on a new studio got a good mark «Melodiy’s» artistic council in Moscow. After opening the branch, Valerii Galupa became director and sound producer. Boris Caraniculov became the main studio sound producer and adviser. Valerii Galupa said about Boris Caraniculov: «The most talented sound producer who I have tried to inherit the experience and knowledge from. To this day there is nobody equal to him!»
During the existence of the branch «Melodiya» - Russian major record company in Moldova there were recorded and released about 15 vinyl records. In the studio there were recorded such famous artists as Gheorghe Zamfir – pan flute performer and composer, folk music ensemble «Lautars», song and dance ensemble «Fluerash» under the leadership of Sergei Lunkevich, Iurie Sadovnic and his «Legend» - the first Moldovan folk-rock band, legendary «Noroc», founder and leader was Mihai Dolgan, folk music orchestra of National Radio and Television - «Folklore», under the leadership of Petru Neamtu. In 1992 the branch of Russian major record company «Melodiya» became a production and commercial studio, which was titled «Moldova Disc». The studio «Moldova Disc» had a professional team. Director and sound producer – Valerii Galupa, sound producer, arranger – Iliya Dobrov, arranger – Iurie Aliabov, vocalist and leader of the vocal group – Iliya Sirbu, Stela Argatu, Lucia Romashka and chief engineer – Mihail Minih. In 1997 the studio «Moldova Disc» moved to the private building in Kishinev to the address: 59/1 Hincesti highway. The move of the studio meant the new stage of work and attraction of new employees. At that time, deputy general director Andrei Vasilati actively assisted in this process. Here, during different periods worked sound producers and arrangers Ion Moraru and Ion Cattser, Nona Marian, arranger Igor Mazur. Since 2007 the studio has temporarily suspended its activity. Only in 2011 the work started again. As a result of large-scale modernization and major investments was opened recording studio «Poli Disc Records» managed by Valerii Galupa. Sound producer and arranger Iliya Dobrov, chief conductor Igor Slivinskiy, chief consultant on styles of music and arrangement Evgeniy Podakin, consultant, arranger and guitar player Sergei Bachinskiy, and chief engineer Mihail Minih. In conclusion it is necessary to express personal gratitude from Valerii Galupa for trust, support and assistance in the establishment of the «Melodiya» - Russian major record company branch and during all time of its existence to those people without whom this project would be impossible. These thanks to both directors of the Moldavian State Philharmonic Mihail Murzak and then Igor Bolboceanu, Alexandr Marianchik and his team, all engineering staff of the National Palace «Octombrie» under the leadership of Mechislav Gladish and to all staff of «Octombrie» and Moldova State Philharmonic for warm attitude and continued help and support.
