The Full English Breakfast Show - Fancy joining the team at the famous Lemon Festival in Menton? - You only have a few days left to join the team of the Lemon Festival in Menton. At the beginning of the month the Menton tourist office launched its major annual recruitment campaign three months ahead of the event. Candidates have until this Friday November 22nd to apply at the Palais de l'Europe. The 91st edition of the unmissable event in Menton, will be held from February 15th to March 2nd, 2025. No fewer than 350 temporary staff are required for the five parades of the festival (Sundays February 16 and 23, Sunday March 2, Thursdays February 20 and 27). Some will be responsible for checking tickets at the entrances, others will ensure security within the grounds, and some will provide information to tourists. The job is paid the hourly minimum wage, with a 50% increase on Sundays.
Around forty handlers are also needed. They will be in charge of organising the fruit displays on the structures in the gardens and on the floats. Candidates must be of legal age on February 1st, 2025, and are invited to go to the Palais de L’Europe open Monday to Friday from 2pm to 5pm. Access is on rue Pasteur, via the artists' entrance.

Today the 19th of November the Principality celebrates its National Day also known as the Sovereign Prince’s Day. The date of the National day is traditionally determined by the reigning Prince. The previous Princes often chose the day of the saint they were named after. For instance, the late Prince Rainier III chose the 19th of November, the day that celebrates Saint Rainier. When Prince Albert II ascended the throne, he ended this tradition by choosing the same day as his father, instead of the day of St. Albert, 15th November. Today the 19th of November is also the day of Albert II's official ascension to the throne and a time to celebrate! Tune into the Full English Breakfast show to hear the late Prince Rainier III of Monaco talking about the history of Monaco in an interview from 1985.

The Full English Breakfast Show - Latest weather reports have announced that the north of France is bracing itself due to violent overnight winds this evening and has been placed on a yellow weather warning. Gust of up to 60/70km an hour are forecast.

Meanwhile, in south eastern France the mistral is expected to see winds of up to 50/60km an hour, reaching 70km an hour in Corsica.

My most beautiful Christmas drawing competition - With the festive season approaching fast and for the second year in a row, Monaco City Hall is inviting all children up to the age of 8, attending school and/or residing in the Principality, to unleash their creativity by taking part in the "My most beautiful Christmas drawing" competition. Each budding artist will be able to submit their work up until Tuesday 17th December 2024 inclusive, in the Mailbox of Santa Claus himself, located at the Condamine Market.

Four winners will be chosen: 1 per age group (under 4 years old, 4-6 years old and 6-8 years old) and 1 of the "Grandparents' Special Prize". The drawings will then be printed on the placemats of the Condamine market during the holiday season, and others will be displayed at the entrance and doors of the market. To celebrate young and old will share a warm and festive moment under the arcades of the Condamine Market on Thursday, December 19th from 5:00 p.m., to find out the 4 big winners of the artistic competition! Monaco Boost - As part of Global Entrepreneurship Week, Monaco Boost will open its doors to the public this Thursday 21st and Friday 22nd of November 2024. The goal is to showcase entrepreneurship. Thursday is reserved for students and recent graduates of the Principality, who can visit the facilities and speak with Monaco Boost entrepreneurs. Friday is open to anyone wishing to learn more about Monaco Boost. The day will include presentations by former Monaco Boost entrepreneurs along with workshops with the Business Development Agency, the Monaco Economic Board, the Junior Chamber International Monaco (JCEM) and the Mission for Energy Transition.
