UNITY PARTY CALLS ON SUPPORTERS TO VOTE FOR PRESIDENT WEAH TOMORROW.

Monrovia, Liberia – October 9, 2023 – Unity Party, Liberia's opposition party, today called on all its supporters to cast their votes for the incumbent President, George Weah, in tomorrow's presidential election. The party urges all its members and supporters to go to the polls early and vote for President Weah at number 18 on the ballot paper.

Unity Party believes that President Weah, who took office in 2018, has made significant strides in priority areas such as infrastructural development, education, healthcare and job creation. The party believes that the President's achievements and vision for the country should give voters the confidence to support him for another term.

We call on all our loyal supporters across Liberia to vote for President George Weah. We believe that the President's achievements over the past four years demonstrate that he is the right person to continue building a prosperous Liberia.

We urge all our supporters to go out and vote early so that we can secure the President's re-election and continue the transformation of our country. We wish our President the best of luck and call on all Liberians to join us in voting for a better Liberia.

Unity Party is confident that President Weah's policies and leadership will continue to drive the economy and raise the standard of living for Liberians. The party also called on all Liberians to remain peaceful during and after the elections, and to respect the rule of law.

The party's vision is to create a peaceful, prosperous and democratic Liberia that benefits all its citizens. One round victory to President George Weah.

However, we want to assure you that the Party Standard-bearer health remains our top priority.

Our Party Standard-bearer will be flying to Nigeria tomorrow for a medical check-up to ensure he receive the necessary care and attention. We understand the critical nature of this situation, and we want to ensure that our Party Standard-bearer will receives the best possible medical care. The medical check-up is scheduled to take place, and we expect our Party Standard-bearer to return to Liberia on Monday the 9th of October, 2023. This date has been carefully chosen to ensure that our standard bearer is back in time to exercise his constitutional rights, as we believe in your unwavering support and dedication to our cause.

We ask everyone to please continue to do their door to door campaign. We appreciate your understanding and commitment to our shared vision. Monrovia, Liberia, September 16, 2023 - After careful consideration and in response to the recent controversial exposure of our campaign spokesperson Mohammed Ali's private photographs to the public, we have decided to suspend the scheduled political rally. This decision has been made in order to address and resolve the matter in a sensitive and appropriate manner.

Our primary concern is the well-being and reputation of our party and its members, and we believe that temporarily halting the rally is the most responsible course of action. As a party committed to transparency, integrity, and public trust, we firmly condemn any form of invasion of personal privacy, regardless of the individual involved.

We understand and acknowledge that this incident may have caused disappointment and concern among our supporters. However, please be assured that a thorough investigation is being conducted to determine the source and motives behind the unauthorized release of these images. We will actively co-operate with relevant authorities to ensure that those responsible are held accountable for their actions.
