Many people believe that the Pi Core Team controls the price of Pi and that crypto exchanges need their permission to list it. This is false! 🚫

In reality, at least 15 crypto exchanges have already announced they will list Pi Coin for trading when the mainnet launches on February 20, 2025. 🚀

📌 How Does a Crypto Get Listed on an Exchange?

✅ No Permission Needed – Cryptocurrencies are decentralized, meaning no single entity controls them.
✅ Exchange’s Decision – Each exchange decides which coins to list based on:
🔹 Technical viability (Is the blockchain secure and functional?)
🔹 Market demand (Is there enough interest from traders?)
🔹 Legal compliance (Does it meet regulatory requirements?)
🔹 Project credibility (Does it have a solid roadmap and team?)

💡 The Reality:
Exchanges may contact the project team for due diligence, but listing is ultimately their own decision. Some even charge listing fees, but this does not mean they need permission.

What happens in the Grace Period?
The Grace Period is a 6-month period, during which Pioneers must take actions to complete KYC and migrate to Open Network. They must do this in order to keep all of their Pi that they mined. If Pioneers fail to submit their initial KYC application within the first 3 months, or fail to finish all necessary steps to migrate their Pi within 6 months starting July 1st, 2024 (except for specific system blocks that pauses their countdown timer), they will forfeit most of their past Pi balance other than the Pi mined within the last 6 months before their Pi is migrated—this is the 6-month rolling window. Being stuck in KYC or Mainnet migrations due to specific system reasons will not count against a Pioneer’s 6 months.

July's mining base rate has been adjusted from 0.0040750 to 0.0040052. This decrease means it's getting harder to mine Pi. Take advantage of this opportunity and keep mining while you can.

Great news from Pi Network!!!

On this PI 2 Day celebration, Pi Core Team announced open mainnet before end of 2024.

There are big leap forward progresses towards open mainnet goals since March 14, 2024 they are:

1. Pi Network now has 60 million engaged users an addition of 5 million users since last reported 55 million in March 14, 2024,

2. 12 million users already KYCed Vs open mainnet goal of 15 million KYCed users. 2.55 million users were KYCed since March 14, 2024.

3. 5.79 million users have been migrated to mainnet Vs open mainnet goal of 10 million users migrated. 4.5 million users were migrated since March, 14 2024.

4. There are now 70 mainnet or mainnet-ready Pi apps Vs open mainnet goal of 100 apps. Since March 14,2024, 20 apps were added.

At these paces, the open mainnet goals will likely be met in the next 3 months!

In June 2024, Pi's mining rate fell from 0.005547 to 0.0040750 (a decrease of 6.90%). Acquiring Pi is becoming increasingly difficult. Mine while the opportunities last!
