Submitted - Arrested early Sunday morning following forced entry at a south Minneapolis apartment bldg.

Trever James Sullivan, 34, warrant
Joseph Waylon Johnson, 44, probable cause burglary

Johnson committed burglary at the glass back door. A cold chisel was inserted between the door and frame and used to spread the door and gain entry. Johnson then let two suspects, Sullivan and an unidentified female, into the building at the front door. The female stole a package and the group engaged in drug use in the stairway.
Police were called and surrounded the building, based on location and details provided by security.

Once suspects saw police they all ran. Sullivan fled from police, but was captured and detained at gunpoint. Johnson was also detained. The female was able to escape while other suspects resisted officers, but she is known to police and warrant by complaint is expected to be issued for the theft.

At least one person was taken into custody at gunpoint, and a bus shelter was destroyed in the process.

Menace to society (everyone named below).

Anna Mae Goodman, 09/19/1986-age 37, has had at least three arrests in less than three months on charges of burglary, mail theft, indecent exposure in the presence of minors, multiple assault. and multiple theft.

Most recently arrested on Dec. 31 and charged with felony mail theft for stealing mail from several addresses on Aldrich Ave. S. Upon arrest, she had mail from at least six different addresses.

Despite Goodman's numerous active cases, above, including felonies and her lengthy criminal history (below), Assistant Hennepin County Attorney Thomas Stephen Grab (under the direction of Mary Moriarty) tossed her a plea deal in the mail theft case.

The deal calls for a stayed 17-month prison sentence and the dismissal of the separate felony burglary case.

Goodman was released on zero bail by Judge Matthew Frank** immediately after pleading guilty under the terms of the plea agreement, and she is scheduled for her fake sentencing in the mail theft case on March 11.
** (prosecutor in Chauvin trial, subsequently appointed to district court judge by Tim Walz)

Goodman's release on ZERO bail by Judge Matthew Frank covered all of her other active cases, as well, even though she has failed to show for court hearings numerous times.

Goodman has at least 22 prior convictions including multiple theft, multiple trespass, multiple burglary, multiple drugs.

We were sent videos of a series of fights that broke out at St. Louis Park HS on Thursday. At least two adults were arrested, and the district canceled classes for Friday. We're told the fights were racially motivated, and the school is investigating that angle, also.

Just another day in vibrant Minneapolis. Person rolled up with a wheelbarrow full of items. Proceeded to transfer the items to the recycle bin, which they stole and rolled away and left the wheelbarrow behind. 32xx 1st Ave S, which is very near some encampments in the area.

Minneapolis - PURSUIT from W Broadway and Girard Ave N 11:47 Getting on I-94 eastbound Suspect is going head-on into traffic near the Basilica. Police discontinuing. Resumed, now on Kenwood Parkway. CRASH at a dead end by the Sculpture Garden. 11:51 Two being taken into custody from the previously carjacked vehicle. Driver BM with dreads.

Video of this morning's auto theft from a gas station at 36th and Lyndale Ave S. in Minneapolis. The suspects arrived in the black Jeep and took the victim's vehicle while she was putting air in her tires.

Minneapolis - Package thieves about 4:43 a.m. Monday at 26th and Bryant Ave S, Lowry Hill East n'hood.

NEW: We've isolated the unbroken dispatch audio from the time of the pro-Palestine demonstration on Hennepin Ave near the Walker Art Center as it was reported that a vehicle drove through the barriers and people were chasing after it and as a report of shots fired was made during a confrontation with the driver. At least two MPD supervisors told police to stay away from the area "out of sight." This whole thing is problematic: -That groups are allowed to gather in the roadway and shut down traffic on a main artery setting up a high-tension and dangerous situation with zero attempt to disperse them -That police are told not to respond even as a dangerous situation evolves with a car driving through the protest area and a report of shots being fired The audio comprises all of the dispatches from 3:19 p.m. to 3:27 p.m. as the situation developed. Submitted: "Reporting a troubling string of garage break-ins / attempted home break-in by an armed individual last night. Our garage and many others last night were burglarized between 1:45am and 4:20am in the alley between Pillsbury and Blaisdell, 35XX - 36XX. He stole our 2 specialized road bikes, and based on security footage, at least 2 more. He hopped between backyards dumping/stashing his loot - including an empty box for a machete at our neighbor’s. In the attached video, you can see him biking with our two stolen bikes, with the machete in his left hand. He also found a spare key to our house in the garage and tried our back door, but got scared away by a neighbor. Very distinct outfit - Titans Jersey #29."

We posted about a prowler crew working south Minneapolis on Sunday. This is presumably part of the same crew stealing two vehicles from Cub Foods at 59th and Nicollet on Sunday.

NEW only on South Minneapolis Crime Watch & Information 5th Precinct. Automatic gunfire heard in south Mpls about 5 a.m. Friday morning, this is near 28th and Lyndale Ave S. Several officers at the time reported hearing it even into the 3rd Precinct. Thirty minutes later, a man was found shot dead at 28th and Nicollet.

This morning near the Basilica. There had been a report of a male running around naked outside the Basilica. Unknown if it was this guy. We'll update if we can find arrested party info. #WhatsTheFussAboutMpls
