Today was vocal day and this was the chain 73>LA2A>1176. Works great in tandem, especially for more expressive vocals, it does give a closer to The finish sound and adds some mojo, but i think The biggest advantage of it is that you give a great monitor sound to The singer and he can let loose, and if you set it right you get a great sound and not worry of cliping or ruining the take, its very nice for the singer to hear himself good and not worry if he will sing too Hard and clip.

Recreating the magic. Few days ago, did some drum recordings in a natural great sounding space, drums sounding crisp, lear, punchy, big, in the room. Really loved the sound if it. Trying to recreate something of that sort, to give an artificial reverb some more natural flavours. Not really copying it, but touching here and there giving it more life and magic to it and learning something new. And of course playing with it just for the fun of it 😁

In the office with and .kalinauskaite 😊 setting up mics for a retro acoustic performance, capturing space and natural reverb. I love this kind of stuff. Trying to record the performance, setting up mics in correct places, choosing mics, playing with the space, it is definitely not easier or faster, but its unique, fun and rewarding and in my eyes worth it. And after each recordings you learn so much as every single recordings is unique and brings its own challenges.

My main recordings chain for a single instrument or vox recordings. It does work especially great for vox or bass, but can be used for acoustic guitar, or electric, even for snares and other things too. Neve73 with eq with LA2A and blue1176 is really versitale, it could be combined in differently order or used as standalone depending on the needs and what kind of sound is needed. The LA2A is especially smooth, just like butter. It works for modern sound when combined or you could get crazy and got some not so clean vintage tones too.

Really loving this techique, natural phase free sound, really captures the drumset, quite versitale too. If there is no need for extra wide drums this is my go to now. Loving my c414 on these! What is your fav drum sounds? Wide, narrow? Old school, modern? Natural or very processed?

After whole weekend of recording a live session of , and second day of mixing everything is shaping out really nicely.
