OPINION: IT WAS MY FIRST TIME SEEING A FOULED PLAYER GIVEN A YELLOW CARD
I have been a staunch football lover since 1998, some of you were not evening born, it was just a dream of your parents by then to be blessed with a child, but that's not a case.
All i am trying to say, this match official was very poor, if he wasn't extremely so. Mduduzi Tshabalala was fouled, instead of giving a freekick he gave it to his opponents and even went further to give him a yellow card. I have never seen something like that since following football, not even similar to that during my times as a professional footballer.
Tebogo Potsane was kicked infront of him, inside the box, instead of awarding a penalty he said play on.
The similar incident happened inside the box where a Chiefs player attempted to play the ball, and Polokwane City's player challenged him with a Jackie Chan kind of kick, unfortunately he missed the ball and fortunately he missed kicking the player.
Thereafter, he fell and when Chiefs player go for the ball he tripped him. The penalty was supposed to be given there but it wasn't.
Another incident happened inside City's box when a Chiefs player had a chance to get the ball in a 50/50 situation with City's defender but the defender concealled the ball in between his tigh. That's not how football is played in nowdays. We're not in Jomo Sono's era when a player was permitted to hold a his shirt, kick the ball into the shirt, and run to score.
This is professional football, indirect freekick was supposed to be give. Here i am talking about laws of the game. I talk about FIFA law 13 here. If you're lazy to read, it's not my problem.
Again, the foul was committed on Cross was supposed to be a redcard, it was reckless one but the referee didn't bother to give even a yellow card.
