Oceans' uShaka Levol set to drop tommorow.

Rey Oceans is a rapper from KZN, New Castle who debuted in the music scene four years ago. His musical pariah began from a church background and school choir where his love for music grew.

At a later stage, he moved to Johannesburg to pursue music as a career at Boston City
Campus. The Fafazi lyricist joined his friend King Tune and formed Tune Ocean. This one
half of the duo further worked along side Aewon Wolf and other big players in the
Durban hip hop scene. He further performed in big stages and events building his
career.

Oceans music captures a nostalgic essence of culture, naked vulnerability and
ambitions if a life without worry. With all this, the man with the husky voice is set to
release a seven track EP named uShaka Levol on the 11 October and intends to host a listening session at 23 Section Madadeni.

In an interview, he expressed how much
work he put in the project, the intensity of letting the enthusiasts feel the music he
makes on a deeper and personal level. From his work track record, Rey is exactly the
type of rapper Riky Rik fought hard to be let in the mainstream media, be heard and make
a difference in the music industry. Not be famous for views or five minutes of fame but
because of talent, hard work, lyrical genius and authenticity. There’s still hope for hip hop after suffering such losses and Oceans is the future.
