PRESIDENT BOAKAI IN GHANA ON A WORKING VISIT

February 13, 2024

Executive Mansion, Monrovia: The President of the Republic of Liberia, H.E. Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr., left the country today, Tuesday, February 13, 2024, for a two-day work visit to the Republic of Ghana.

While in Ghana, the President will meet and hold consultations with his Brother and Friend, Ghanaian Leader, H.E. Nana Akufo-Addo, on matters of mutual interest to both countries and issues obtaining in the sub-region.

In his letter to the Legislature regarding his departure from the country, the President informed them that the Minister of State for Presidential Affairs, Honorable Sylvester M. Grigsby, will chair the Cabinet in close consultation with the Vice President as His Excellency remains in communication via telephone.

The Properitor of The Light of The World Academy has Announced High Frequency in Enrollment for 2022/2023

Speaking in an interview with reporters recently, Pastor Sylvester Archie Johnson said, he is encourage by the high increase in the student population

He lauded parents and residents of Yellow Flower Community and Brewerville for choosing The Light of The World Academy among many schools in this part of the country

"I am impress with such enrollment and want to say with the help of our partners, we are pause to doing more" pastor Sylvester Archie Johnson noted

The clergy man with great passion of transforming both the souls and minds of youthful Liberians has however promised parents that Light of The World Academy as a faith base institution will continue to work in the best interest of the country down throwing masses

He used the medium to appreciate the school’s partners for their support over the years and called on them to continue their support adding that their support is greatly impacting the country next leaders

Pastor Sylvester Archie Johnson, also extended thanks and appreciation to the administration and staff for the many sacrifices in molding the miteachingnds of the nation young generation

He asserted that their contributions to the country education sector is leaving positive impact something he said will put the students on par with their colleagues in the sub-region

He challenged students to continue making use of the Computer Smart Box to ensure learning is easy and suitable for them

Light of The World Academy to end First Semester for Academic 2022/2023

According to Re. George F. Doeah, Prpncppal of the school, the semester will come to an end following successful completion of the ongoing examination or evaluation

He noted that the decision to end the first semester after the administering of the first semester examination is in keeping with the education law prescribed by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Liberia

The clergy men and veteran educator noted that the school is in line with the Ministry of Education academy calendar and will continue to remain a law abiding institution

Rev. Dowah disclosed that students will be given a one week break to adjust and get prepare for the second semester to climax the academic year 2022/2023

He encourage them to be steadfast in the in their struggle for quality education

The Principal of the Light of the World Academy Described the Institution as one of Liberia Best
Speaking to reporters on Wednesday of last week, Rev. George F. Dowah, indicated that Light of the World Academy is among the country few schools that is running a complete state of the act academic programs.

He named Computer Literacy, Culture Arts, General Agriculture, Music, Field Trip to expose students, Spelling “B”, Quizzing, Debate, Dental program, Health club , sports and Journalism among others as programs to be fully run by the school to put her students ahead of their peers.

“Our Computer Smart Box that help students make research and the many extra curriculum activities initiated will empower students of the school and enable them to rub academic shoulders with others in the sub-region” he narrated.

The Light of the World Academy principal is however calling on citizens and residents of Brewville to secure a better future for their children by sending them to the school adding the school also built the moral and spiritual lives of her students.

Light of the World Academy Registrar Termed Enrollment for Academic 2022/2023 as Encouraging

According to Mr. Jarpah Lamie the school is experiencing encouraging enrollment as a result of work done during the vacation period

He noted that during the vacation, the school’s administration ran an effective vacation program and embarked on car and homes publicity to encourage parents as well as informing them about the school new programs designed to spice up the national curriculum

“Despite the encouraging numbers of students in the school, the institution holds a facility that can accommodate more students and we are encouraging them to come and we can promise that will not let anyone down because we are here t ensure every child obtain quality education” he lamented

The Light of the World Academy registrar has meanwhile challenged youth of the school environment and their parents to take advantage of the school adding that tuitions are affordable

The Coordinator of the Voice of Light News Agency Calls on Students of the Light of the World Academy to form Part of the Press Club

As part of effort to enhance student’s capacity, the coordinator of the Voice of Light News Agency has launched calls for more students to join the school Press Club

Bro. George K. Momo said, journalism as one of the extra curriculum activities of the school will empower student greatly especially when they are focus and willing to learn

“The Press Club is intended to improve the reading, writing and speaking skills of students as well as breed future professional journalists that will run media affairs of Liberia in the not too distance future” he asserted

He disclosed that the Voice of Light News Agency is expected to shortly launch her News Letter and Online TV that will focus on campus happenings among others

The Liberian journalist and educator is meanwhile encouraging the school administration to provide full support to the Press Cub if the sector must do more

The one time Human Rights Reporter Award winning journalist has promised to work tirelessly to make Light of the World Academy Press Club second to none in Brewville and Montserrado County by extension

Meanwhile, Bro. George K. Momo encouraging his fellow teachers to get involve with activities of the club for smooth or perfect operations
