I HAD TO REMIND MYSELF.

Yesterday, I felt like crap.

It was transferred aggression.

Someone I respect so much treated me like crap.

He was dead cold towards me. It felt like I couldn’t even feel my feet.

Worse part is, my husband and kids were there.

My husband felt it too. He was sad and embarrassed.

I was broken. I cried on my way home. It hurt so bad.

It’s been a long time I felt that way.

A lot of us have experienced this at some point in our lives.

In the moment, it takes us by surprise and sometimes you’re tempted to question your self worth.

After I shed a tear, I had to remind myself about this quote, “ Someone’s inability to see my worth doesn’t discount it”.

It doesn’t matter if someone refuse to acknowledge how amazing I am.

What truly matters is that you e must not forget that we’re “WORTH EVERYTHING WE THINK WE ARE PLUS TAXES”. Read that again.

Why am I sharing this unusual message that my normal contents?

This is to encourage someone who life has handed more lemons than they can handle at the moment.

Make lemonade baby. Thanks he process may be long, tedious and lonely but it’ll be worth it in the end.

I hope this blesses at least one person.

7years ago I designed my first shoe.

In College 2013, I started my fashion brand as Modest Afrik Style ( ) as a middle woman between my friends and my moms tailor.

My best friend believed I could do it so I took a leap on her faith.

This picture shows me 7yrs ago when I designed my first male shoe in my friend Rita’s sitting room.

I looked back at this today and I feel so proud of how far I have come.

I merged Modest Afrik Style with my husband to build our brand .

Today we’re becoming a household name in the Liberian fashion industry, serving clients both home and abroad.

Sometimes, it’ll take others to push you to be a better version of yourself because it takes a goldsmith to know the worth of a gold that’s still under the ground.

Choose the people in your circle wisely because, they have a lot of influence on your direction.
