To keep it super simple, we can break it down into two main elements - the visual and the practical.
The visual is how your website looks and how it reflects your brand. The consistency in colours, fonts, images, layout, spacing and how they work together. Getting this right builds trust, credibility and shows professionalism.👌🏼
The practical is usability and functionality. How easy/quick is it for a potential customer to find the information/product they are looking for? And how easy/quick is it for them to reach your desired goal (purchase, booking, enquiry)?🤔
Attention spans are declining. So much so that if a potential customer isn't smacked in the face with what they are looking for within seconds of landing on your webpage, it is likely that they will move to the next option. Think about it in reverse. How often have you been frustrated at not being able to find something on a website? Or how often have you looked to buy something from a place you haven't bought from before but have been turned off because their website looks a tad iffy?
The practical is usability and functionality. How easy/quick is it for a potential customer to find the information/product they are looking for? And how easy/quick is it for them to reach your desired goal (purchase, booking, inquiry)?🤔
