Our recent three-day event, "Bonds Beyond Borders," was a heartwarming celebration of connection and unity. Foundation kids, along with their parents, came together to engage in meaningful activities that strengthened their bonds and created beautiful memories.

The day was filled with laughter, teamwork, and a shared sense of community, reminding us that love and togetherness transcend all boundaries. Thank you to everyone who participated and made this event truly special! ❤

We are proud to present 'The Human Library' to the students of Key Stage 2. This was a historic occasion that brought together the alumni of Gateway College Negombo, where they shared their experiences with our young students. The seniors had a fantastic opportunity to share their perspectives on life beyond school, and our primary children had a terrific time learning about the experiences their seniors had while they were at Gateway.

“Every Person is a story waiting to be read – Let us turn the pages together and discover the magic inside.” Gateway College Negombo presents the ‘Human Library,’ where individuals from various countries from around the globe joined together as they shared their culture and traditions with our Foundation and Key stage 1 students. Guests representing Kenya, France, India, Italy, England, Germany, Indonesia, Russia enlightened our young minds, by spreading their knowledge about their values and way of life, thus broadening the global awareness of our young students.

Gateway College Negombo commemorates Mr. R.I.T Alles’ 11th Remembrance Day. Our late Founder Father was a driving force who endured innumerable trials to get our school from its inception to where it is today. His hard work, dedication and passion for teaching has enlightened hundreds of students over the years. In accordance with their individual faiths, the students of Gateway College Negombo came together on the 28th of November to honour the memory of Mr. R.I.T Alles. Students of all religions from the primary and secondary took a moment to pay tribute to his legacy through their religious observances.

In addition, the management, administrative staff, and support staff expressed their gratitude and kindness through a genuine act of service. They distributed packs of dry rations to the school's dedicated security guards, acknowledging their tireless efforts to ensure the safety and security of the campus. This day of remembrance served as a touching tribute to the founder's values of compassion, community, and service.

Gateway College Negombo celebrates their Awards Ceremony 2024

This was a momentous occasion in which we were able to recognize and honour the academic excellence of our fellow students.
We were also honoured to have Dr. Manoj Fernando, the Dean of Applied Sciences at the Rajarata University of Sri Lanka, as our chief guest. His insights enlightened the event and inspired all the award recipients.
The Pooja dance, which highlighted our school's cultural elements, added colour to our awards day. We are especially grateful to Sir Namal Wewaldeniya and Teacher Taniya Ranasinghe for their invaluable assistance. The choir performances, led by Sir Sural Galgamuwa, served as a tribute to our parents while also uplifting the spirits of our prize winners.
A special Congratulations to Dineth Pereira for achieving the Overall Academic Excellence Award. Last but not least, congrats to all award winners and best of luck with your upcoming pursuits!

We are proud to announce the introduction of a new curriculum at Gateway College Negombo – the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE). SACE is the official senior secondary qualification of the South Australian government and is a globally recognised pre-university program that provides entry into the world’s top universities. This curriculum was introduced to the students and parents of Years 10 & 11, informing them about the two staged programmes their students can choose as they continue their secondary education. Thereby, creating a new learning environment and widening the students’ prospects for higher education.

Our Primary students organized a meaningful ‘Children’s Day Charity Program’ to support and bring joy to the children of the Katunayake High School. Through this event, they celebrated the essence of Children’s Day through a donation of educational materials and vibrant performances by students from both schools. 🎭🎶

The 3rd Inter-Gateway Swimming Meet 2024 was a resounding success, bringing together talented swimmers from all Gateway schools. Held in the presence of our esteemed Chief Guest, Mr. Kyle Abeysinghe, the event showcased exceptional athleticism and team spirit.
