How wonderful it would be if you could see a fascinating work of art on a street you walk through every day. It is no doubt that such a street art definitely transforms a busy street into an aesthetic gallery in an instant.

However, creating such a street artwork that takes viewers' thoughts to a different dimension is not an easy task. It is absolutely a challenge. Johan Karlgen is a unique Swedish artist who has successfully overcome the above challenge.

He has used pixelate paintings to give a fresh life to dull and boring street spaces such as highway concrete barriers, walls and drainage pipes. Characters of video games and pop-cultural allusions drawn using colors that blend well with the environment are common among his creations.
