Morning Mantra: “It’s the darkness that teaches you the value of the light you bring to this world in the first place.”

When we face aversity many times we stifle our emotions and harden our hearts to protect us from hurt. We ignore our dark feelings and try to live as if we don’t have any.
The problem with that is the more you deny these dark thoughts and feelings, the more power you give them. You must acknowledge your dark side and understand that everyone has negative thoughts and feelings. Everyone has impulses, and feelings of jealousy, anger, impatience, and rage.
The secret is to recognize them, conquer them, and live in awareness that you are not the way you think or feel. You are not the darkness; you are ALWAYS the light inside.
