Selacine Media Solutions Pvt Ltd Selacine Television Institute Started Operation on 1st February 1982. The first five employers of Selacine were G. H. K.

The request to open a video production house cam from then secretary to the Ministry of plan implementation Dr. Wikrama Weerasooriya. The main purpose of opening the Selacine was to record the progress of accelerated Mahaweli Development work on video. Rathnasiri (Executive Director), Keerthi Sri Perera, Sanath Dharmarathne, Lional Jayaweera and Kanapathipillai.
