LOCAL

From 2015 to the present, local has stirred storms in the music scene, hardcore power, and stage presence. There is a punk rock vibe to the band. Local live performances have generated a cult following. It was Local who transposed and repackaged punk, grunge, and post-grunge styles into Sinhala.

While there are so many bands who claim to be anti-establishment, ‘Local’ puts rebellion into practice on and off stage; from bourgeois bars to protest sites, the band’s Eight-year career has been full of surprises.

The band currently consists of Greg Pallegama on drums, Thilina Bliz on bass and vocals, Harsha Aravinda on guitar, and Sandeep Perera on drums.
