In fact, the journey of a ballerina typically begins at a dancewear store. For this reason, a dancewear store has the ability to serve as a starting point for dance education and the history of dancers; especially black dancers and additional minority groups.
As Black History Month comes to an end, Kenya Ross spoke with a ballerina and her mother about an opportunity her daughter had to display a project inside a Capezio store - celebrating black dancers.
