Four distinct movies are slated for production, each offering a unique perspective on The Beatles, with one film dedicated to each band member’s viewpoint.

“We intend this to be a uniquely thrilling, and epic cinematic experience”. Sir Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, along with the families of John Lennon and George Harrison, have all authorized the use of their music and granted permission for the production of the four films. These movies will be helmed by Sir Sam Mendes.

The director who won an Oscar, known for his work on two James Bond movies and 1917, expressed he was “honoured to be telling the story of the greatest rock band of all time”.

Paul McCartney’s legendary Höfner bass guitar, missing for half a century, has finally found its way back home, thanks to a five-year search led by the instrument’s manufacturer and a dedicated team of journalists. 🎸❤️

McCartney’s quest to reunite with his beloved 1961 electric Höfner began when he reached out to Höfner for assistance. Scott Jones, a journalist, and Nick Wass, an executive at Höfner, joined forces to track down the iconic instrument.

Purchased by McCartney in 1961 for a mere 30 pounds during The Beatles’ formative years in Hamburg, Germany, the bass played a crucial role in defining the band’s sound. Featured on early hits like “Love Me Do” and “She Loves You,” the instrument became synonymous with Beatlemania.

Rumored to have been stolen during the recording of The Beatles’ final album, “Let It Be,” in 1969, the bass’s disappearance remained a mystery until Jones, inspired by McCartney’s Glastonbury Festival performance, embarked on a mission to find it.

After relaunching “The Lost Bass Project” and receiving a flood of tips, the breakthrough came when sound engineer Ian Horne revealed that the bass had been stolen from his van in London’s Notting Hill in 1972. Despite McCartney’s reassurance, Horne carried the guilt of the theft for decades.

With the mystery solved and the bass reunited with its rightful owner, McCartney can once again feel the rhythm of Beatlemania coursing through the strings of his cherished Höfner.
