Arneli Art Gallery and Rebirth Beirut proudly invite you to their first collaborative exhibition “THE HUMAN CONDITION”.

“The Human Condition” is an assortment of universal experiences, that are inherent to the essence of humanity. It encompasses the colorful range of human emotions, experiences, and struggles, including joy, love, pain, suffering, birth, death, and everything in between. Our human condition is formed by our culture, history, and personal circumstances, and is also influenced by larger existential questions such as the meaning of life, the nature of reality, and the existence of a higher power.

Throughout this exhibition, 15 artists have sought to understand and represent the human condition through their works, reflecting on the struggles and triumphs that define what it means to be human. With more than 60 artworks varying between paintings, mixed media, works on paper, photography, sculptures, poetry and video art, “The Human Condition” represents an unprecedented collective exhibition with young and emerging artists shaping the future of Art in Lebanon.

👉Participating artists: Aya Abu Hawash, Dzovig Arnelian, Elizabeth Hefty-Khoury, Joanna Raad, Krikor Avessian, Lodi Sabra, Mayssa Khoury, Mary Kaady, Maral Der Boghossian, Moushegh Karavartanian, Noura Bakkar, Sarkis Sislian, Tarek Saab, Toufic Melhem with a special focus on the work of the international artist Johnny Semaan.

👉Participating writers: Ziad Jreige, Rawan Ezzedine, Rima Barakat and Rebecca Whiting.

👉This exhibition is curated by Manar Ali Hassan.

A special thanks to Dr. Elie Bourgely, the former head of the faculty of Fine Arts at the Lebanese University, for advising and shaping the pathway of this journey.

JOIN US on Friday, the 28th of April, at Rebirth Beirut, Gemmayze, for the opening of our collective exhibition “The Human Condition” from 6 – 9pm which will be enriched by various startling live performances.

The exhibition will be ongoing till the 5th of May, every day (except Sunday) from 12 – 7pm.

As part of the upcoming pageant, there is a competition called the potluck, where each girl has to do or bring food from her own country, and highlight her county in the best way through food. This week and last week, Mia Dagher won first prize in both competitions, as they did it twice. People were standing in line just to eat from Mia’s long table. Mia decorated everything, and was doing the falafel sandwiches live to people. “Hospitality is something that always interested me, just like my grandpa who owned a big restaurant in Broumana back in the day”, Mia says.

For the first time ever, the Lebanese beauty is competing for Miss Europe Global. The Top Model and Presenter Mia Dagher will be participating in a pageant for Miss Europe Global - The Pageant happening in Los Angeles, California.

“I have had the chance to meet many professional women as well and we have become quite the unit together. When running with them we are supportive of one another, we participated in many group chats online, and we meet in person too attending cultural events”, Mia says.

Place/Date: Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center, on November 19, 2022.
