💡Never ever push. Dubai style of chasing leads with “limited offers with deadlines”doesn’t work here. You will lose this lead forever. Kuwaitis hate to be pushed. You can gently follow up, but do not show you are after sale.
💡Sell your product / service to one Kuwaiti, others will copy him. “Kuwaiti marketing” is still word of mouth, copying wealthy friends who already got your product.
💡Never schedule an important meeting on Sunday / Thursday. Sunday they are not in a working mood yet after the weekend. Thursday - they are already not in a working mood before the weekend.
💡Get ready to wait… wait… and wait again… Oh, did I mention you need to wait? Things are not happening fast here. Even if they need your product, they will still be slow in making decision to buy
💡Use wasta (“connections”) as much as you can. Even with wasta it will be hard to sell. Without - your chances are very low.

This post is dedicated to working moms.
It’s been a year since I took a break to accomplish the most important mission of my life. Just recently I started going out little by little, meeting people and coming back to normal life.

Being an extreme workaholic with ego over the roof “I must be super successful even when I’m in a medical condition”, all I was dreaming about was to go back to business life ASAP, to network, to get the fresh air of intelligent conversations.

After a month of restarting social life I suddenly onboarded 3 new projects and still cannot believe I am coming back to business life I dreamt about (even being in Kuwait)
BUT
I discovered changes of my feelings, priorities, new emotions I experience. I am sure I’m not alone who feels this, and I just want to support every working mom that comes back after maternity leave (before I could not even reach the idea of what these women feel). Now I know how it feels:
- feeling guilty I don’t spend enough time with my babies
- missing them when I skip part of our daily routine
- Waiting for a new day to come faster so I can find more time to have a walk with them, while e-mails can wait 1 hour
- Now ego works not for me, but for them to make them feel proud of their crazy mom
I’m just a beginner in this and I’m sure I’ll find my way. Just now I know how it feels to be a working mom ❤️
