한국문학번역원에서는 해외 한국학대학 도서관, 한국문학 연구단체 등에 한국문학 번역서를 기증함으로써 해외독자와 한국문학의 접점을 확대하고, 한국문학 연구 활동 등을 지원합니다.

The Literature Translation Institute of Korea (LTI Korea) will donate Korean literature to overseas Korean Studies University libraries and Korean literature research organizations to expand the contacts between overseas readers and Korean literature, and support Korean literature research activities.

This book is the result of an effort to examine the spirit and substance, and the past and the present, that has taken root in the Korean table, with a dense and bold eye. Above all, this book looks at Korean food in terms of cultural codes such, as 'flavorlessness,' 'fusion,' 'fermentation,' 'gathering,' and 'moist-heat' instead of traditional standards, such as 'season' and 'ingredients.'

The two-year-long journey bundled into five volumes originated from the idea that food, especially Korean food, is not just a material substance that fills the stomach but somewhat of a 'media' with strong communication powers. Descubran sus significados escondidos

El diseño del libro es espectacular. Los diagramas están muy bien pensados y son fáciles de memorizar. El libro está plagado de ilustraciones realmente divertidas. ¿Hasta qué punto el diseño es un valor diferenciador del libro? ¿Cómo abordaron el diseño del libro y qué dificultades encontraron?

Los caracteres chinos consisten en la combinación de radicales. Si conoces los radicales, es relativamente fácil entender el significado y el sonido de un carácter sin importar su grado de complejidad. Sin embargo, el problema es que hay demasiado radicales. Existen 26 letras en el alfabeto inglés, pero nos encontramos más de 300 caracteres que actúan como caracteres básicos o radicales.

Para poder explicar los caracteres chinos, estas ?letras básicas? deben ser memorizadas y desde luego se trata de un reto importante. Por lo tanto, era necesario explicar cada carácter básico uno por uno para que el lector pudiera entender luego los caracteres chinos. Por ello, creamos un método puzle donde el carácter básico se sitúa en el centro de la tabla y se repite creando caracteres. Éste método consigue que los lectores sientan el aprendizaje como una tarea entretenida en al menos un 50% más de los casos que con otro método tradicional.

Además, el hecho de que el carácter básico esté en el medio facilita la visualización de las descripciones de una manera inmediata. Hay un número de identificación por cada carácter al que el lector puede acudir inmediatamente si siente curiosidad. Con esta estrategia estimulamos la curiosidad del lector y su conveniencia a la hora de buscar o chequear un carácter básico o complejo.
