Seokchon Lake Cherry Blossom Festival 2024

The Seokchon Lake Cherry Blossom Festival is one of the biggest spring festivals in Seoul and one absolutely worth going to. Cherry blossoms can be found across the city, along the Han River, and even down neighborhood streets. But seeing rows of cherry blossom trees lining Seokchon Lake is an amazing view.

When: Currently blooming until probably this weekend.

Where: Seokchon Lake is located just behind the Lotte World Mall in Jamsil-dong which is located in the southeastern edge of Seoul. It’s easily accessible by the no. 2 line (green) and is only a few minutes away from the subway station.

YEONGDEUNGPO YEOUIDO SPRING FLOWER FESTIVAL 2024
Yeouido Island is a popular destination in Seoul where locals flock to enjoy being outdoors on the weekends, drinking a Cass and eating ramyeon while sitting along the Han River’s grassy banks. During April, thousands of people swarm the scenic streets of Yeouiseo-ro Road to experience the Yeouido Spring Flower Festival. In this colourful festival you’ll not only find cherry blossoms, but also azaleas, forsythia, royal azaleas, and other spring flowers all in full bloom. Stay for the night-time light show, where flowers are lit up as a backdrop to street performances and art exhibitions.

How to get there: To get to the Yeongdeungpo Yeouido Spring Flower Festival, take the subway to either National Assembly Subway Station (Line 9) or Yeouinaru Subway Station (Line 5) and follow the signs to the festival.

Grünberg - Grünberg am Traunsee

The new Grünberg mountain cable car will comfortably bring you up to the 1.000 meter high peak, from where you can start the easy and partially barrier free hiking trails to Lake Laudachsee or for the more experienced hikers up the Traunstein Mountain.

Thoroughly enjoyable cable car ride up to beautiful view over stunning scenery. Plenty of family fun was waiting at the top - forest walks, a treetop walk, a café, and a toboggan run.

Gyeongpo Beach in Gangneung
Located 1 kilometer away from Gyeongpodae Pavilion and 6 kilometers from downtown Gangneung, Gyeongpo Beach is a sand bank formed between Gyeongpoho Lake and the ocean. This beach has a beautiful sandy shore that extends to a length of 1.8 kilometers and shallow waters, making it a popular beach attraction. By the beach is a lush pine forest where visitors can enjoy forest bathing. Other activities to enjoy around the area include the cultural art fair that takes place at the beach stage every summer, riding a bike along Gyeongpoho Lake, and hiking the nearby mountains and valleys.

Sokcho Beach is one of Korea's most popular beaches. The waters here are clean and shallow, adding to the popularity of this beach during the summer season. There are also many restaurants and convenience facilities located near the beach, as well as a small park with walking trails through a pine forest.
