THE TEN BELLS MUSIC PRODUCTION at THE TEN BELLS bar in Siem Reap. The new record label set to capitalise on the fact that Siem Reap has become an international musical crossroads and a melting pot of musical cultures. Featuring only ORIGINAL MUSIC the plan is to record and video live performances that will subsequently be made available through CDs, DVDs and online. THE TEN BELLS MUSIC PRODUCTION
will be a luxury sound label using the best gear and ultra-modern techniques. Once a month several artists living, working or passing through Cambodia will showcase some of their original work (see below for the artists appearing at the launch) and often this will be the first time their material has been played in public. This is exciting stuff and a welcome opportunity for many musos who are often compelled to play covers in order to stay alive. Itβs hoped that the collaborative attitude of several artists performing and recording at the same venue on the same evening will lead to unpredicted groupings (in a musical sense of course) and THE TEN BELLS will become a creative hub.
