Economists study about social science. They analyze and predict crucial events that happened and effected human behavior, economic activities and social development. Nonetheless, they can’t solve problems by himself even though they can provide practical alternative policy options. This needs political will and great policy implementers that work under good system. If economists work outside the government and involved organizations, what they are doing is producing research papers and involving policy advocacy. If they have a lot of budget, they will implement a particular project in an instrument group.

The University of Glasgow has launched an online Global Reading Group on Adam Smith's classic text The Wealth of Nation to celebrate the 300 years of his life, work and influence.
