Why close the Victoria Secret show
A few days ago, there was quite high-profile news that the lingerie brand Victoria's Secret canceled its famous annual show Angels.
The show has been held for more than twenty years in a row since 1995, but this year L Brands financial director Stuart Burgdoerfer said that there would be no traditional large-scale fashion show, which was attended by the most beautiful models in the world.
And there are a number of reasons.
Firstly, the victory is celebrated by terrible and fatty femmes who promote their miserable “body positive”. For years, they have fiercely hated Victoria's Secret for exclusively laced and beautiful girls who advertise lingerie there. And looking at them, from anger and toad, the femmes had to run to the refrigerator and jammed the annoyance and pain with sandwiches and cakes.
Recently, the company’s management, under the pressure of walking hamburgers, had to declare that soon Victoria's Secret lingerie will advertise the size plus model for the first time (it’s now called that way).
Secondly, Victoria's Secret boutiques in the USA have closed in dozens for at least the third year. And the company (to admit this is both embarrassing and scary) can no longer afford such an expensive show.
Again, there are two reasons for this too.
Firstly, there are fewer slim women in the USA, and more and more walking hamburgers.
If you do not believe me, then listen to the monologue of the wonderful American comedian George Carlin about food and consumption (he is using obscene language, so you can’t bring him to the media, ILV will swear, so look for it yourself). And he performed this monologue back in 2005, and since then the situation has only worsened.
Secondly, the economic well-being of most Americans is rapidly deteriorating over the past ten years, so fewer people can afford to buy in luxury boutiques (and Victoria's Secret is precisely a premium brand). And basically they are looking for something cheaper - for example, Chinese.
Americans are rapidly gaining weight and getting poorer (fast food is food for the poor), getting poorer and getting fat. Therefore, brands like Victoria's Secret are not for them, the audience is shrinking and the company is going bankrupt. And a beautiful show is also not necessary, because slender models cause walking hamburgers only envy and rage.
