Here is a sample program for a 2 day 1 night safari to Tsavo East for those on a budget:

Day 1:
- 6:00 - Departure from Mombasa or Malindi to Tsavo East
- 9:00 - Arrival in Tsavo East and start of the safari
- 12:30 - Stop for lunch in a designated area
- 14:00 - Resumption of the safari
- 6.00pm - End of safari for the day and arrival at base camp
- 19:00 - Dinner and overnight in the base camp

Day 2:
- 6:00 - Departure for second day safari
- 12:30 - Stop for lunch in a designated area
- 14:00 - Resumption of the safari
- 16:00 - Departure for the return to Mombasa or Malindi
- 19:00 - Arrival in Mombasa or Malindi

The budget for this safari depends on the type of accommodation chosen. If you opt for a campsite, the cost will be lower than that of a lodge.
