Governor Patrick Ntutu's Volleyball tournament is expected to produce some of the finest players in Narok county if today's action at the Emurua Dikirr primary school is anything to go by.
The high octane final of the Ilkerin ward saw Chepkisa spiking off the hosts Emurua Dikirr township in two straight sets. The new champions had defeated Kaptololo by two sets to one in the semis while Emurua Dikirr trounced Changina 2-0.
Four teams will square it out in the highly anticipated Emurua Dikirr sub-county finals after they clinched the slots during todays ward finals played at different venues.
In Ilkerin ward, Kilindani senior FC humbled Kaptololo by two goals to nil in the final match staged at the Emurua Dikirr primary school.
Simotwet FC reigned supreme in Ololmasani ward after defeating Kapweria FC 4-2 through penalties following a barren draw in regulation time.
Kapsasian ward will be represented by Chelemei FC, while Mokondo FC will fly the Mogondo ward flag.
Nairenke FC won the Melili ward trophy as Governor Patrick Ntutu's football cup entered penultimate stage at the ward level. The rejuvenated side thrashed hosts Sonkoro FC 4-0 in a one-sided final match played at the Sonkoro primary school grounds. Nairenke cruised to the final after humbling Sakutiek FC 2-0 in the semi-finals at the same venue while Sonkoro had overcame Entoltol 4-3 via spot kicks after the two teams settled for a 1-1 draw in the other semi-final encounter. It was jubilation in Nairagie-Enkare as the tournament sponsor Governor Ntutu presented the trophy to City waters FC as winners of Keekonyokie ward finals.
