I am not necessarily suggesting anyone sign this petition - but suggest that a more useful gesture of ethical altruism for the greater good would be for the makers to put the film Christspiracy straight onto a free streaming platform.
I find it interesting that a group believe so profoundly in the significance of their beliefs that they spent seven years making the film Christspiracy. Unless of course it was simply a business idea to exploit and (further) divide liberal vegans and meat-eating Christians.
The film claims that Jesus was vegetarian and his "beef" with the temple around the "trading" when he bust up the merchants' stalls was more about the bloody sacrifices of the currency "livestock" going on daily within the temple walls. "Proof" is apparently in exploring mis-translations of ancient Greek and Hebrew texts including the gospel of the Ebionites.
The prospect of realising plans to demolish the mosque and rebuild the temple on the site in Jerusalem is supposedly to be commenced by the sacrifice of a perfect red heifer, which is allegedly happening tomorrow.
Passover 2024 is this week commencing April 22nd.
The aim of the film makers in the 2 min video linked was for 1 million signatures on a petition to Israel to prevent the sacrifice from happening. They so far have just under 6000(!). They will likely claim a "shadow banning" conspiracy where social media hide their posts. But there is not much activity on their pages.
The film Christspiracy was apparently shown in 350 cinemas worldwide on 20th and 24th March but since they bought it back from Netflix to avoid censorship, it is unavailable anywhere online.. currently.
I just wish that films which claim to be of such importance were not driven by profits and could be backed by philanthropy to be made available to all straight away. They already raised over $450,000 on Kickstarter AND Indiegogo to fund the film.
One of the film makers Kip Andersen claimed on Piers Morgan Uncensored to have been a red meat devouring hunter until he discovered that Jesus was veggie and he is now a vegan. Great - but if he feels so strongly about this, why not make the film available to all having presumably covered the costs already.
Disclaimer - don't bother watching the Piers Morgan interview as he rather feebly just tries to deny the fact that Jesus was veggie and wastes a third of the interview accusing them of mass murder of bees for eating avocados and almonds. Suggesting veggie burgers were served at the last supper was the only amusing comment - (which he said with a sneer)... He clearly hadn't watched the film and lied that he had!! nil point for Piers Morgan Uncensored on this one.
I admire and like Kip Andersen as a person and a film maker. He seems very genuine and kind. I really hope that he is not seen to be exploiting the conflict in the Middle East to market his film...
Please can we watch it now?
