Rhino Kaboom whose real name is Harmon Kipkirui Rono is a legend who will never get out of kalenjin music history.
He was born in 1994 at Kapcheplanga,Londiani Kericho County being a only son in family of four. He belongs to Cheptalamek Clan of the Kipsigis community.He was brought up by single mum after he lost his father at a very tender age. He schooled in Uasin Gishu from class one to class five,before returning to Londiani to resume his studies from class five to class 8 and later joined Kapcheplanga Secondary school where he cleared form four in 2015.
He started his music career in March 2016 and he relocated to Eldama Ravine to make it easier for working environment. He worked with Producer Edu one of Tres Empire Studio who supported him by releasing audios for free and even shooting his first videos.Rhino was sharp,after staying with Edu One for a short period of time, he learned playing instruments well and could even record some songs while the producer is away.Around end of 2016,he released 'Terryanne'. This was the beginning of his popularity.All of his songs were of best quality,in both beats and content and this made him to be a star. One of remarkable song is 'Daisy' . Though the song had same beats with 'Marion' of Sweetstar who has been star in kalenjin,Rhino's song had more views on YouTube and streams.This led to them having a grudge, and fought at Total Nakuru whereby Rhino was set to perform. They later settled the issue amicably though they never had collabo or performance in same event. His popular songs are Criminal Chomnyet,Tilet ne Tilet,Lulu,Winny Simple girl,Diagnosis, Tamu tamu Beryl chomnyet, kiibetyi ano Monicah,tumtab Evans ak Purity and others.
Rhino Kaboom was happily married to Mercy Rono and were blessed with one kid Ramsey Kiprotich(Kaboom Junior).
On Sunday night of October 4th 2020,accident happened at Saos-Emining' road involving a probox and his motorcycle on head collision and he died
