Khabumbi means creator, they say so because they believe he created the world and everything in it,
khakaba means the seperator, he separated the earth from the sky and the land from the sea and oceans.

Khulonga is modeling so mulongi means a modeler
khukaba is seperating, khuana is giving.
A traditional bukusu prayer is opened with the word " Wele khabumbi waumba likulu ne nenyanga, wakana likulu ne liloba.

Ingo people, Bagisu being the only tribe that has decreased in population also speaks a lot volumes about us bagisu people. According to UBOS Bagisu people have decreased from 2,390,975 in 2014 to 2,096,149 in 2024, yet other tribes increased tremendously.
It means that Bagisu defected from their tribe to other tribes, and this could be true, Bagisu are the only people who are not proud about their tribe, names and speaking their language. Many have become baganda, Banyankole and others, those who go the Kenya become Kenyans and those in Europe become europeans.
Could it be fear of imbalu Circumcision or lack of a King?
