PUMC: Leading with Love and Community Service in Kenya
PUMC is making a significant impact across Kenya through its strong commitment to community service and corporate social responsibility (CSR).
The organization, led by their regional leaders from all parts of the country, ensures that every charity event they undertake is a resounding success.
Driven by the philosophy of touching lives and spreading love, PUMC conducts regular fundraisers within the community.
These efforts are crucial in securing the funds necessary to sponsor their CSR activities.
With an ambitious goal to cover almost half of Kenya's counties before the year ends, PUMC is steadily working towards making a broader impact.
Recognizing the importance of formal education, PUMC has established a sponsorship program that currently supports more than 10 high school students from various schools across Kenya.
The organization is also exploring opportunities to extend this program to include scholarships for university students in the near future, thereby broadening its educational support.
The first pilot CSR program saw PUMC visit Langalanga Secondary School, where they donated sanitary towels to support the girls and provided foodstuffs for the entire school. This initiative set the stage for subsequent programs aimed at addressing various community needs.
A core aspect of PUMC's CSR activities includes visiting children's homes to ensure that the children feel loved and cared for.
Among the homes they have visited are Adassa Children's Home in Machakos County and Umoja Children's Home in Bomet County.
A visit to a children's home in Kakamega County is planned for next week, further extending their reach and support.
At the heart of PUMC's mission is the greatest commandment: love. This guiding principle drives their efforts to reach out and positively impact the community.
The patron, Kiprono Kalya, known fondly as The VC by his comrades, expresses immense satisfaction in having found like-minded individuals who share his belief system and are committed to making a difference.
Through its various initiatives, PUMC continues to exemplify the spirit of community service and demonstrates the profound impact of collective efforts grounded in love and compassion.
