A case study of the current unethical church leadership practices and why the rich and wealthy left the church.
In today's church,a large percentage of the congregation Is made up of the poor and middle income members. The type of sermons delivered have by so far discouraged the wealthy from attending the conventional Sunday services. The sermons are disguised as spiritual enlightenment but the reality is that they are devoid of empowerment, which to any logical person would directly pass as exploitation. The pastors are definitely leaders, teachers and they should not only feed off your loyalty but also ensure they equip you with tools to rise too.But does that happen? No!
The current breed only inspires you to give, keeping you poor in thoughts, finances and identity while themselves are rising. That is what I refer to as being used. They confidently do it without blush, using guilt on you."if you really believe, you will give more" or "for you to tap more of the blessings, you need to give more". or "if you stop sowing, your blessings will stop". Were blessings meant to be bought with money?.They have mastered the game ,that your problem and urge is to break away from the shackles of poverty. Thus they utilize well planned manipulative tactics such as promise addiction." your harvest is around the corner. Just wait a little,be patient".
This creates a loop of infinite hope in you as you wait forever for some imaginary breakthrough. You become spiritually fed but materialy starved. You continue funding someone's Vision while neglecting your own.Their leadership strategies should instead upgrade your lifestyle and habits.Their abundance should unlock yours.Luckily the emerging congregants are no longer naive. They are waking up to the reality of why the pastor must organize a harambee to purchase his "pastoral car",but when a member needs a "business car" he is informed to pray and fast for 40 years. The Church leadership must turn over a new leaf . Otherwise slogans such as "we left church not God" will continue to escalate.
