Whitney Andenyi and her Mum Yunuke Arika were elated to have been selected for the #jkfelimuscholarship after a rigorous selection process.
During the flag off Ceremony at the JKF grounds, Whitney promised to work hard in her studies and to help other children in need in future when she finishes her studies.

During the selection process, there is no telling how the selection will go as we receive thousands of applications from students across the Country.
It was quite a pleasant surprise to meet again one of the students, Abryl Damary Ashuma, who we visited during the many home visits that were conducted during the #JKFElimuScholarship selection process this year.
The mother, Sharon Andenya, and child were overjoyed to be at the flag off ceremony and to have received the Elimu Scholarship.

The JKF fraternity was thrown into mourning when we lost one of our Form one Elimu Scholarship beneficiaries after a short illness. The late Michelle Onimbo had just joined Form One when she fell sick. We send our condolences to Michelle's family and pray that they will be comforted in the Lord during this very trying moments.
It is never easy for a parent to bury her young one.
