I have had enough of you, the lies and your girlfriends, of all the things that you hide in your phone (why is that your phone and your stuff is a no-go zone) .If you have got nothing to hide why is it a no-go zone? If you showed that you had nothing to hide… I would have no reason to check.
I have opened my heart and my home to you... I even gave you my car to use. For me… it was the best way to show how much I love you. For you to see that we can grow ourselves not just that “give me this and that”. But for you, it was a chance to put your ex on the passenger seat and show off.

Funny how life is… How can I trust you again, a man who steals my heart and breath,
I can tell you for sure that I don’t feel the same way.

Being single especially when you have a child to cater for is hard enough. Why do you have to come and take advantage of me? You are the type of men that make women say that “All men are the same”.

I am at the verge of thinking that all the true love I can get is from this angel.

No girl wins with a player....
Can you imagine meeting a good man, falling in love
He charms you, tells you that you are the one...
Everything seems great, until you discover that a few months ago he proposed to another woman.
Shackled and broken, that's how I feel.
What do I do? Remain believing that I am the special girl that I count in this man's life or should I wake up out of this coma and start to learn about players and that no girl wins with a player.

Last weekend I took my daughter and niece to Nakumatt galleria. I sat at the food court as they went to play in the kids play area. Bummer, I forgot to carry my Macbook. I ordered some food, took my phone and began chatting with a new found flame (details soon). I couldn't help but notice all the families around me, husbands, wife's and kids, aunties and uncles boyfriends and girlfriends. They all looked happy, for a second I wondered how my life would have been if I was a married mother. Loneliness set in and for a moment I envied all of them. Then I thought of the little girl God had gifted me and the things that God had provided for me. Single parenthood can be tough but I if you count your blessings you might just realise that they outweigh the negatives. The kids came back and soon we were all laughing and chatting happily about their experience at the pay area, soon, it was the crowd envying us. 😊

THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW BEFORE DATING A SINGLE MUM
1. Single moms have no interest in playing "the dating game"

Single moms don't have much interest in being indecisive, coy or "playing hard to get." They simply don't have time for it. Get real, and be honest. Single moms appreciate men who are upfront with them.

2. Most single moms are not looking to be rescued

Don't ride in on a white horse and expect her to fall grateful at your feet. If you want a woman who's clingy, keep looking. Many single moms are quite independent and happy with who they are, and they're looking for a friend and companion. With any luck, that might be you.

3. Single moms and their kids are a package deal

Even if there's a "baby daddy" in the picture, a single mom wants a good male role model for her kids. The kids may not warm up to you at first. Or, they may like you a lot — unless you break up with their mom. That would be difficult for everyone. But with the right single mom and the right kids, the reward of getting involved in their lives can be well worth the risk.

4. Single moms have a lot going on

In addition to raising kids, some single moms are busy working two jobs or carving out careers. They keep up with their jobs and their households, and they manage finances. While a single mom may not have much time to spare, she will have time to share with the right man.

5. You will have to work to gain her trust

Divorce hurts. A single mom may have been burned by her ex, and she'll be most vulnerable in areas where she's been hurt before. If her ex had an affair, she'll wonder whether or not you'll be loyal. If her ex left her penniless, she'll wonder whether or not you can manage your finances. Be patient. Find out where she feels most vulnerable and don't hesitate to reassure her. She's not only protecting herself, she's protecting her kids.

6. Single moms are loyal and committed

Single moms are committed to making things work — for themselves and for their families. They're loyal, and they appreciate loyalty in return. If you're lucky enough to get close to a single mother, you'll find her to be a loyal and committed friend.

It's not always easy to date a single mom. There tends to be more complications than there would be if you were dating a woman who had never been married and didn't have kids. But if you're not a player and you're up for the challenge, you may find that a single mother and her children are just the family you've been looking for your whole life.

Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, Liberia

The first woman to be democratically elected as head of state in an African country, Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has been the president of Liberia since 2006.

Faced with the Herculean task of rebuilding a country devastated by 14-years of civil war, which killed an estimated 250,000 people, Johnson Sirleaf declared a zero-tolerance policy against corruption and made education compulsory and free for all primary-age children.

An economist by profession, she also used her contacts in the international business world to persuade Liberia's creditors to forgive some of the West African country's crushing foreign debt.

The 73-year-old Harvard graduate, whose political resilience and tough reputation have earned her the nickname "Iron Lady," was one of three recipients of the 2011 Nobel Prize for Peace, in recognition of her efforts to further women's rights.

AM READS:
Do you go to bed on most nights with FOMO, or “fear of missing out.” I forgot to call my brother on his birthday, skipped yoga again, and cancelled dinner with a friend for the third time, all so I could finish that article I’d been agonizing over for days. But I’m convinced it’s still sh*t, I feel guilty for being a bad friend and sister, disconsolate that I can no longer touch my toes, anxious about being replaced at work by that new Majuu educated kid. I pour myself a glass of wine, post some inane comment on Facebook, pop a piriton/ Advil, and wake up six hours later—still suffering from FOMO.
This is nothing unusual. It’s a typical day in the life of a privileged twentysomething, a subset of the Millennial generation analyzed in Twentysomething: Why Do Young Adults Seem Stuck? Penned by Robin Marantz Henig, a contributing writer at The New York Times Magazine, and her daughter Samantha Henig, a 28-year-old editor at the same establishment, Twentysomething surveys more than 120 Millennials (loosely defined as people born between 1980 and 2000) and Baby Boomers. Incorporating research on a slew of age-appropriate topics— from marriage and fertility to student debt and social media—the Henigs conclude that the biggest thing that distinguishes Millennials from previous generations of twentysomethings is an overwhelming deluge of choices. Constantly weighing options in every aspect of our lives, we end up with “decision fatigue” and the dreaded FOMO.
