We've received excellent reviews about our play. We hope ya'll loved it :-)

This weekend, at the Kenya Cultural Centre incorporating Kenya National Theatre -KNT, The Khanga Theatre Group teamed up with two of the best actors we have in the arts scene in Kenya.

As if a spin off from their almost immediate previous roles in Kigondu Martin’s 'What Happens In The Night' , Nungo Marrianne Akinyi and Nick Ndeda also play a couple going through a rough patch in their relationship. The beauty of watching this show was in the chemistry and truthfulness brought out in the roles by these brilliant actors. They were adorable, in all their different emotional states.

‘All Aboard The Marriage Hearse’ sees Sean (Nick Ndeda) and Amy (Marrianne NUNGO) as your typical co-habiting, couple that work hard, love each other and share common goals in life. Well, sort of.

After nearly three years together, Amy wants to get married with all the flamboyance that comes with the ceremony, but Sean, an established columnist on matters marriage, does not believe in the institution.

The director Santa dexterously created an emotional roller coaster that left the audience sympathizing with both sides of the respective arguments but also yearning for both characters on stage to compromise for the sake of the other. For the sake of love.
This was Santa Amboko Mukabanah's first directorial role after a 10 year long hiatus from the role. And clearly, she’s still got game.

Bravo.

Assisting in the technical end was Veronica Waceke as the stage manager and Muthoni Gitau as set designer/ lights and sound.
Talk about women taking charge and running the show, literally.

With only two shows staged on Saturday the 30th June, we’re Looking forward to more reruns of this brilliant piece.

Here are some of the moments of the play captured, ever so beautifully by Isaac Otieno.

Short Review by Hinga Mwonjoria I was in doubt of whether to go for the dry run because I felt the title was too revealing and sadistic. It was like a pr******te along Koinange Street parading her …
