10 COMMON SENSE ADVICE OF LOVE

1. You don't need to check his/her phone in search for text messages from other guys/babes. Stop spoiling your mind or giving yourself hypertension unnecessarily.

2. Never beg someone to love you. You don't beg for love, you allow love to grow gradually. Do things that will make the person develop love for you gradually. Not by begging or shedding tears.

3. If your partner says he/she wants to quit the relationship, allow him/her to go. Who told you that there is no one like your partner? There are many people who are better than your partner. A better person will come into your life.

4. To avoid the pain of heart break, do not give the whole of your heart, your body and your life to someone when you fall in love with the person. Human being cannot be trusted; they can break your heart at any time.

5. Being in love does not mean that you should worship the person you are in love with.
Respect them but don't worship them.

6. For the fact that you are in love with someone does not mean that you should ignore and disregard every other human being on earth except your lover.
That is cowardice.

7. The number one person in your life must be God and not your boyfriend/girlfriend. Don't allow love turn you into a coward.

8. Do not Love with your heart alone. Use your brain also.

9. Heartbreak is not the end of the world. It may be the open door to a happier life and a better relationship with a new partner.

10. Do not be afraid of falling in love again after a heartbreak. If a bad door did not close, a better door will not open.

The power of a parent's tongue

A story is told about a young Thomas Edison who came home one day with a paper for his mother. He told her, “My teacher told me to give this paper only to my mother.”
Thomas’ mother read the note and her eyes filled with tears. Thomas asked his mother what the note said, and she read aloud,
“Your son is a genius. This school is too small for him and doesn’t have enough good teachers for training him. Please teach him yourself.”
And that’s exactly what Thomas’ mother did; she home-schooled her child with devotion and dedication. As the story goes, many years later after Thomas Edison’s mother passed on, and he was now one of the world’s greatest inventors, he found a folded paper among other family items. He opened the very same paper that had been handed to him to give to his mother and read the following message:
“Your son is mentally ill. We won’t let him come to school anymore.”
At that moment, Edison realised what his mother had done for him so many years ago. He wrote in his diary: “Thomas Alva Edison was an addled child that, by a hero mother, became the genius of the century.”
“The words of the reckless pierce like swords, but the tongue of the wise brings healing.”
Can you imagine what might have happened to Thomas Edison if his mother had read to him the reckless and hurtful words written by his teacher? He might never have invented the light bulb or made his many other contributions to society.
Thank God for the wisdom and wise words of his mother! She created the context in which her son could grow to his full potential.
Let’s take this message to heart and resolve to use our words for healing today. You might be a parent, what do you say to your children.... You might be a teacher, what do you say to your student... especially the ones that are not really performing well presently.... What do you say about your parents, family, boss, subordinate, leader, colleague, follower.... Just as hurtful words can cause uncontrolled damage for life, so can wise words positively affect a person for life. May the words you use today change a life for the better.

He said, “I don’t know why you wear a bra—you’ve got nothing to put in it.”
She shot back, “Well, you wear pants, don’t you?”

He suggested, “Why don’t we swap roles tonight?”
She replied, “Great idea! You can stand by the ironing board while I sit on the sofa and fart.”

He asked, “What are you doing with all the grocery money I give you?”
She quipped, “Turn sideways and look in the mirror!”

Finally, he asked, “Why are married women heavier than single women?”
She smiled and said, “Because single women come home, see what’s in the fridge, and go to bed. Married women come home, see what’s in bed, and go to the fridge.”

I Pressed the letter to my cheek and closed my eyes, trying to picture his face. Thick fair hair, grey eyes, straight nose, firm mouth, a smile that made my heart turn over.
I'd known Bruce for ages, at school, but only really noticed him when he played the part of Hamlet in the school end term production. At that time he had been going around with with Donna Bee, who can have any boy she fancies-you know the type! Bruce's tall and fantastic-looking, and I thought Donna would hang to him for ever, but they broke up
